“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

Stayed for 3 nights for a training course for work. Room is comfortable, restaurant food is good & bar with pool table is a good place to end the night!

Gym and swimming pool (+ sauna) are excellent and well maintained.

Staff tried hard to sort taxi and deal with check-out

Will return!

I should first say that the service has been perfect. I came to the hotel very late on the evening - my plane was delayed as it often happens - while my son had to check in earlier - he already was in Beijing. Not only we did not experience any problem, but we the two check-ins flew smooth and fast. Also, the taxi arrangement for the very early departure - 04.30 AM - was perfect. The hotel is really super-clean and shining. The room was really large. Also the buffet room at the ground floor, with its high ceiling and the large glasses, let make u really comfortable.
The position, at the end of the Aiprort Expressway, is excellent if you go to or come from the Airport. For, it takes bare 30 minutes if the traffic is not too bad, On the other side, it is not ideal for tourism or leisure.
The final good surprise is the excellent price value ratio.

Dear Gianmario M, thank you for sharing with us the experience of your last stay. We are happy to know that you liked your stay with us. You might be happy to know that hotel is embraced to a more than 20,000 square meters Greenery Park. For hanging out around the area, a 59,000 square meters shopping mall is in ten minutes walking distance. Besides, there are nail art shop, pub, spa center and varieties of restaurants including Arabic, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Western cuisine, etc. We look forward to welcome you back in your next trip to Beijing.

I stayed in Beijing for 4 days in March 2014 as part of graduate study abroad course with 20 of my classmates. I thought the hotel looked relatively unimpressive from the outside, but inside, it was large and luxurious. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating and spoke English well, which helped quite a bit. I think the location left much to be desired as it wasn't particularly close to anything; however, across the street there was a nice long block of restaurants to choose from (Korean, Japanese, Steakhouses, etc.) so there were tons of dining options. (The only challenge here was attempting to cross the street to get to the restaurants which was a glaring reminder that I was no longer in the US where there are rules for pedestrians - it's every woman/man for themselves!). I was able to change currencies within the hotel which was convenient; however, the price of water here was exorbitant. A small 6-oz bottle of Fuji was approximately $8USD - meanwhile, the gas station close by was selling 24-oz bottles for less than $1USD. It was an indication to me that the trade-off for the convenience was a fairly hefty financial investment. Breakfast was provided as part of the stay and there were tons of options to choose from including traditional Asian foods and American continental options. There was also an omelet station which was delish! Though I didn't use them, there was also a pool and onsite gym which appeared clean and well cared for. Overall, a nice value if you don't mind being far from attractions/sight seeing.

Dear Nitra315, thank you very much for your time to write us the review, especially your kind compliments on our facilities and services by our staff. We are very pleased to know that you enjoyed the stay with us. I noticed your concern about the bottle water in guest room.
For the extended service, you might want to know our hotel provide the complimentary bottle of water in the guest rooms, and free shuttle bus is specially arranged to the major city attractions and commercial center for easy access within key city area. Again, thanks for your constructive feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back in your next trip to Beijing.

We stayed there for 4 nights during part of a tour group.
When we first entered our room I thought we had been put into a smokers room but it turned out it was just the Beijing Smog.
The rooms were comfy, roomy and clean.
Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice (although some of the staff in the dining room were a little bit cold).
The biggest downside for me was that we were a long way from the shops, restaurants (excl the hotels) etc.

I have stayed at the Traders Upper East Hotel 6 times last year, and 2 times this year for business and trip, and have found it to be an excellent hotel.

The Hotel is a great location for business or tourist trip to Beijing. It is conveniently located to go to the airport and to enjoy the Lidu area and Sanlitun area.

The lobby and the rooms were luxury, clean and no smoky smell. Facilities are very modern and functional. My rooms have all been excellent, with natural light.

The staff at the hotel, from check in/out and general front desk help, have been very professional and positive, and the staff seem to enjoy their jobs.

Traders Upper East Hotel is a good hotel to come back to! I look forward to visiting again!

Friendly staff, excellent following up management, front desk, and concierge teams.
Needs to add special Arabic plates and HALAL food in the restaurant!
Restaurant space could not have all the residents during the peak hours especially in the morning. Overall stay is very good!
