Very nice hotel in beijing. The staff is very kind with the foreign tourists. The hotel is located in the city center, near the metro station. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was clean and quiet, but it is a bit 'expensive.I am an Italian citizen and in this hotel I was fine.TV channels are in Chinese, English or French, no Italian, but it is not important.Lo consiglio a tutti i miei concittadini Italiani, vi troverete bene.

Beijing in July can be -25 degrees, and in Summer it can be 40+ degrees, but whatever the temperature outside is, the professional and friendly staff at Jianguo provide a warm welcome. This hotel is special, from the lobby to the privacy of the very tastefully furnished rooms. The staff here are friendly and very helpful and will go out of their way to provide assistance.

Each of the restaurants are superbly furnished and lit, with international menus equal to any other. In particular the Peking Duck in the Chinese restaurant is as good as you will experience anywhere in China. Watch out for the waiter responsible for topping up the tea... a sight to behold.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, and the bathrooms are probably the best 'away from home' bathroom I have ever experienced, certainly in a 4 star. Rooms have reliable wifi and a very comfortable work desk and office chair. Room lighting is excellent.

The area around Jianguo provides a great opportunity to observe Beijing life with schools, street markets, shops and housing. Within walking distance is Sun Li Tur and the Embassy sector, as well as Tienanmen Square, Forbidden Palace, Wangfujing and many of the tourist highlights of Beijing.

This is a city of great contrast, a strangely beautiful city that should rank highly on any 'must visit' list. However, no matter how extreme the weather is outside, Jianguo remains a constant high standard at all levels.

Room Tip: Ground floor with opening to ponds... superb! The suites are also very comfortable for families.

Jianguo hotel is a first 4 star hotel in Beijing, and I think the service could be in 5 star hotel. The stuff could speak English very well in a very warm voice. And most stuff are working there for many years. For example, I took back a client to there, and my client still remembered that one guy, who opened the door for him 10 years ago!
Next door is silk market, and Guiyou local market! very good location!

Room Tip: first floor rooms are not so good, i think most for some tourists groups stay.

We have a great stay in the hotel, I requested for the B Tower as been renovated, the renovation is up to date & very clean, the bed is very comfortable... The plus point was the balcony, so whenever we feel warm just open up the balcony for fresh air.
The Breakfast is above average, but the chinese restaurant have shut down for renovation during this time...
The surrounding it's really very peaceful with the garden landscape, the staff is consider well trained.
The location is very close to lots of shopping area, it's very convenient to take a taxi.
I really love this place & It's will be my 1st choice while travel to Beijing.

Room Tip: Request for Renovated Room with Balcony...

It is one of the renowned properties here and has stayed up to its mark. The real comfort stay is something which really adds value to the stay. The advanced level of service, excellent design and top most service is what creates a valuable difference for the guests. Like the stay a lot here.

I can`t recommend the hotel.

If asked for a quiet room with a view to the garden weeks before via mail. Hotel answered no problem. After my check in, when I arrived in my room, I opened the window (no door!) to see what the view to the garden is. But here was no garden. Only a view to flat roof and a wall. Back to the reception the staff asked in poor English: You can`t see the garden??” No. Got a room with garden view and small balcony in the end. Room was quiet, so sleeping was no problem.

Room includes: Working desk with cable internet (free Wifi also available in all areas of the hotel including the rooms, poor signal quality, network speed with cable was ok), chairs, small flat screen, king size bed, dark, normal sized bathroom with combined shower/bath tube. The whole bathroom was worn and on the walls were many chalk stains. Looks dirty to me, even if it might be clean, it was disgusting. A girl from my company staying in the same hotel on the same floor said the same.
I nearly used half a bottle of disinfectant.

The whole hotel is very old (from the 80ties I think), worn and looks not clean. Needs a complete redecoration badly.

Staff, besides the doorman, was unfriendly, poor knowledge of English, and not helpful. Asking for the bill at check out I want to have my companies name on it. It took 15mins to do this, receptionist team was very unfriendly!

Be aware of prostitutes (besides you’re looking for that kind of company). They are around the hotel from sunset. Seems to be no problem to take one of the girls inside, receptionist team noticed that. Girls are offering their service even in the lobby, besides the elevator. That’s a no go. As far as I’m concerned the management endures this!

The hotel is located at next to subway station Yong` Anli, line 2. Easy to reach Tiananmen in 15 min.

Room Tip: stay away from this hotel:)

We stayed five nights in the Jiangou Hotel and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, all greeting you, the majority in English. We were booked into the hotel by the tour company, as we are staying with a small group of family and friends, so most of our travel around the city was by bus. However the hotel was ver close to the subway with quick access to major shopping and restaurants. It is also very close to the silk markets
One feature to be aware of is the long walk to you room if you find yourself in the B Block. I think that are the rooms over 30. We were in room 333 in B Block. It had a balcony facing the main road which was noisy, but it was nice to be able to open the door a bit to cool the room, as air conditioning was a bit hot, but the the pollution attacked so we had to close the door and get hot. We did stay with temperatures below freezing in Beijing.
Another shortfall with the room was the noise from adjoining rooms. It was very easy to hear conversations in the bathroom from next door through the bathroom vents, a bit disconcerting. There were also lots of thumps coming from the room above which was felt down the wall.
But overall it was a comfortable stay, the breakfast buffett was good with a large selection of fresh food, which was kept well supplied. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but it looked very nice. Our friends used the gym and pool and were pleased with the facilities.

Room Tip: Ask to stay in A Block if you don't want a very long walk to your room. Although these may be ol...
