Legendale is a 5 star experience and the location is bang on.

Great rooms especially the bathrooms- get used to voyeurism but the blind does ease that unless part of the ambiance.! Glass screen between bedroom and Bathroom.
Fabulous decor and service, good breakfast and dinner.
If you happen to be a guest of Travel Dept on their very well priced China tour you will be astounded this accommodation is available to you, its just WOW....

Molly malones Irish bar is part of the complex but a separate concern, good for a beer or two at UK prices..The hotel is costly to drink in, but hey the place is more than 5 stars really.
GRAND DELUXE room is good ,two doubles and quiet. Great value..spend 7 days in luxury.. back to real life...well its a shock .
SPA area is great, swimming, sauna , steam etc. with treatments if you want-but pricey. This will be a Legend to many as long as the visitors know how to eat and dress in this informal but dressy paradise.
No T shirts lets you and the surrounding down, please-
keep this one secret

Room Tip: Grand deluxe, courtyard or city views

You are surrounded by luxury from the moment you enter the lobby to the second you enter your room. We booked one "family suite" and one regular room and found both to be very elegant and well appointed. The restaurants were beautiful, but appeared to be quite empty most of the nights. We only ate at the Chinese restaurant - It is stunningly beautiful, but was completely empty except for our family. The food was good (not great) and the service excellent.

Overall, I did not encounter much difficulty at any time trying to find someone who spoke English and found the service very good overall, except for a few glitches:

1. One of our rooms had the executive package with lounge access, the second did not.
When we all arrived in the lounge one day, we were lectured by the lounge hostess that only
people staying in the assigned room could use the lounge (even though we sere told
otherwise by the front desk upon check-in). I gave her the equivalent of $300 to cover any
expenses (quite generous given the limited items available).

2. DO NOT USE THE TOUR COMPANY WHICH IS SET UP IN TH HOTEL LOBBY. We gave
a specific itinerary to avoid wasting any time and paid in advance. This included being taken
to the restaurant of our choice for lunch - Capital M. This was agreed on when we paid.
However, the tour guide who showed up (in a substandard van) insulted my wife (who is
Chinese) when we refused to go to a "Tea shop" to taste teas (a known Beijing scam) - or to
go to a pearl factory or silk factory, which she highly recommended. She told us "You have
no interest in Chinese culture." She additionally refused to take us to Capital M restaurant -
saying it is "snake food" and not as good as "Quanjude duck", which she recommended.
She made us get out of the van and take a cab to the restaurant, then told us to take a cab
back to the summer palace, where she would meet us! Can you believe that?
The most unprofessional tour company I'v ever experienced.

Four nights in this faux-colonial style hotel in the centre of Beijing. From the uniformed doormen through to shirts returned from the laundry with bow ties attached this was a proper hotel experience! Nice big rooms, a huge foyer/atrium and extremely attentive staff. Five restaurants - we went twice to Petrus great food but weird service even though empty! Excellent multicultural breakfast buffet.they arranged a Rolls Royce to pick us up at the airport and on arrival made me feel like a film star as I swept in through the lobby to check in at my room followed by a retinue of servants! Fabulous!

Located 5 minutes walking distance from Tiannamen & the Forbidden City - the Legendale Beijing is by far the most luxurious hotel offering privacy and individual attentive 5 star service.

The location is in the heart of Beijing's luxury shops adjacent to all the major brand names and next to all major hotel chains such as the Regent, Peninsula hotel and Waldorf Astoria. Across the hotel there is Ferrari Beijing, Aston Martin Beijing and Lamborghini Beijing.

The hotel concierge was extremely helpful and was able to help with directions and any booking related to tourism in beijing ( musuems, trips, private transportation restaurant recommendations etc)

The hotel bar and restaurants offer all the most exquisite dishes and in the morning the Breakfast is excellent offering chinese and western choices.

The spa offers massages, gym, hair salon and all amenities of a grand 5 star hotel.

Last but not least, please see the pictures uploaded for a view of the rooms, it is truly spectacular and comfortable!

Hands down best hotel in Beijing and value for money , it speaks for itself !

What an amazing 10 days we spent at this beautiful hotel in Beijing! ..... This place is quite new but styled like your living in a grand palace! It's actually breathtaking opulent and very beautiful! I found myself very excited about heading back just to take in its beauty! Only downfall was the amount of smokers ! Being none smokers we where sat in far ends of restaurants and bars away from the beautiful windows and views so as the smokers where able to enjoy the views while sucking on their fags! But it's China and unlike Australian hotels they don't have the same rules! The buffet was stunning and room service amazing, bathroom products where the wonderful range of L'Occitaine! Totally recommend this place and would stay here in a heartbeat!

Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms that are quite large. Staff are excellent and all speak English. Location is quite central. Food was a bit of a disappointment, not living up to the rest of the establishment - serviceable at best. Bar was sorely lacking in ambiance or selection of premium liquors. Beds are extremely comfortable.
