It was during the olympic period and all the hotels had jacked up their prices to a horrid level that is ridiculous. Ended up at a small travel agency in Singapore that recommended this hotel at a very inflated price of around SGD 250 a night
The location is suburban beijing - 300 meters from nearest tube station - surrounding area is residential in nature and not much in the way of good food and entertainment -in vincinity - a couple of small food places at street level next door - the cab driver had a difficult time finding this place and is so small that you have to keep a look out - by the way the hotel changes name too .
There was a horrible odour on 3 storey lift landing - corridor carpets look dirty - rooms small ( two occupants with small suitcases open and you will trip over ) sparcely furnish , Nil english programe on TV - nil room fridge - a real basic room
Biggest complaint is toilet which is 15% bigger than an aircraft toilet - when you shower - the whole floor gets wet! Nil shower tray and nil place to put soap and shampoo so you will need to put it next to wash basin- bad bad bad
Braekfast was included - but the buffet is limited and is chinese food of low quality only - cannot even get a cup of coffee.
Hotel lobby is really sparce - a couple of chairs in an open area with a small fridge to contain bottle drinks to sell to guest- staff no speak english and not knowledgeable nor helpful - by the way credit card is not acceptable - I was asked for a refundable 200RMB cash deposit
No I will not be using this hotel unless there is no choice
