The Wendy Wu organisation was spot on and the guides Christy ( and so funny too!),Summer and Jefferey were absolutely 1st class in respect of their knowledge and enthusiasm.

Everything worked like clock work from the tours ,transfers ( internal flight ,bullet train plus to and from airport as well as Cruise ship collection). Book with confidence.
Constructively I would say that our age group would have been better served seeing the Great Wall at the (nearby) point where there is cable car option and the time allocated to tourist shops under the auspices of knowledge of local crafts people ( who where never present) should be halved.
We would definitely recommend WW and would use again in the future.

Private China tour tailored for myself and my elderly Father arranged through Wedy Wu tours. From my consultant Holly to our personal Chinese guides and drivers I could not fault. Every thing was catered for and flexible. Well worth the call.

We went by ferry from Xiamen for a day trip. The island is small with some attractions like a piano museum while the streets have vendors at the roadside selling hats, clothes and souveniors. Can be hot in summer.Views of the China mainland are quite good

The highlights of this tour were the amazing things we came to see - The Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors, Tiananmen Square, the river cruise, the three gorges dam etc. The guide who traveled with us for the first part of the tour was excellent. Troy could not be faulted for his knowledge, communication skills and attention to detail. For theses aspects of the tour I would rate it a five.

What was disappointing about this tour was the time spent at shopping stops which were labelled as 'factories' or 'workshops'. I would not have minded if some time was devoted to this, but on the day we saw the terracotta warriors more time was spent at shopping outlets than at seeing what we came to see. I expect the shopping to be slotted in between sight seeing and genuine experiences - not the experiences slotted between the shopping. These unwanted stops made the day longer than necessary and meant there was less time for what we should have been doing. I know that on a tour this is to be expected, but I think there was more than was reasonable. This is what brought the overall rating down.

I was also surprised that there were thirty six people for one guide. This resulted in extra time needed to account for every member of the group, and that added to the time spent at the shopping stops. The guides coped well with this number but I felt it was more than should be expected of one guide.

I would recommend the tour for the amazing sights and the guides. Just expect to get on and off buses to stop for shopping at 'workshops' as well.
