We were on the Glories of China Trip covering Shanghai, Guilin, Yangshou, Xi'an, Beijing and their surrounds.

Anyone travelling in places like China would be well advised to travel on a tour. In my view, along with my wife, the Wendy Wu tours are tops. The guides are superb, the information you are given great, the hotels are minimum four star and some five star, all meals are catered for. Our experience was met at the airport, only had to take cases from the hotel lobby to our room and back again. Two internal flights, the Bullet train and Maglev train all included in the cost of our trip.

Our tour guide, Addison, was superb, lots of information about places and living in China.

I cannot speak more highly of the attention to detail, customer service and benefits and all at what we considered a very reasonable cost.

Just returned from this tour with Wendy Wu tours. From start to finish it was amazing. See the brochure itinerary. The guide in Vietnam Laki was absolutely brilliant. Full of knowlege and made the tour very interesting. The entire trip was well organised we had good accomodation even while treking in the mountains. Local food was lovely and fresh from the fields. All transport coach ,bicycle , air service and boat were clean and comfortable and we were given great experiences.
On to Cambodia and our guide Seuoquan continued to provide a great service. Our tour of Ankor Wat was well managed and we got a great history of the beautiful temple.
Again accomodation and local experiences were great.
I will be using Wendy Wu again.

Fabulous 5=days spent in China. Tours arranged early in the day to miss the crowds, Our guides Hoffman and Mark offered additional tours when there was spare time. Hotels were good and everything was organised really well. Would highly recommend.

Had the most fantastic holiday with Wendy Wu Tours. Our national guide, Kevin, was so caring, well-organised and knowledgeable, he made the trip such fun. It was a hectic tour with Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Li River, Chongqing pandas, Yangtze cruise & Shanghai all included. The food was amazing and plentiful - sometimes with a full lunch most days it was too much! China is an astounding place. The Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors have been on my bucket list for years - so glad I can now tick them off! My only criticism of the whole trip was that the section of the Great Wall which we visited was so steep and difficult to climb - I'd have preferred to have visited the section which has a cable car and toboggan down! However, this was the only thing on the whole trip which wasn't perfect - the rst of the tie was amazing! In Beijing we had a fantastic local guide, Tony - so knowledgable and willing to share his life's experiences under Mao's communist regim and in the present day. In Beijing, we visited Tianenmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace as well as the Great Wall - all beautiful and impressive. The Terracotta Warriors & Horses at Xi'an were truly spectacular. We were lucky enough to meet one of the farmers who first discovered the site. Guilin was my favourite city and this was a good base for shopping as we had more free time here than anywhere else and there were some reasonable shops in town. The Yangtze River cruise for 4 days was a slightly slower pace. The cabins were good and so was the food. We had some lovely excusions too and I recommend the Three Tribes walking tour - beautiful! The Three Gorges dam is a miracle of engineering and we enjoyed the boat-lift. At Chongqing we saw 12 pandas at the zoo, including 3 babies who amused us for ages playing with each other! My favourite part of the whole trip, though, was the day trip on the Li River. The scenery was utterly spectacular and it was the inclusion of Guilin and the Li River which made me book this particular tour. Shanghai was a bit of a whistlestop tour, but the night cruise was spectacular, and the Maglev train was so exciting! All in all, this tour lived up to my expectations and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting to see China!

The Wendy Wu organisation was spot on and the guides Christy ( and so funny too!),Summer and Jefferey were absolutely 1st class in respect of their knowledge and enthusiasm.

Everything worked like clock work from the tours ,transfers ( internal flight ,bullet train plus to and from airport as well as Cruise ship collection). Book with confidence.
Constructively I would say that our age group would have been better served seeing the Great Wall at the (nearby) point where there is cable car option and the time allocated to tourist shops under the auspices of knowledge of local crafts people ( who where never present) should be halved.
We would definitely recommend WW and would use again in the future.
