Another very impressive building in the park where the water sport competitions took place during the 2008 Summer Olympics. Too bad we were there in the day time and did not see the light up of the building. Still worth a visit though.

Amazing piece of architecture. You have to get up close and inside this building to appreciate it. Plus stay in the Olympic Park till the evening to experience the cubes light show. When we were here the competition pool was being converted to a concert venue. The place is showing signs of wear & tear and a little odd how they have utilised some of the spaces in this huge facility.

Pictures do not do this justice. It is so massive and so beautifully designed. Those of you who appreciate unique architecture want to make sure you hit this exhibit. It's well worth your time.
The Bird's Nest and Water Cube are in the same area of the Olympic Park.
It's very close to a subway entrance as well.

I was here in October 2017 with family and friends. It was group tour. One morning .
was allocated to visit the Olympic city. This is on the left side of the City. Right side is Birds Nest. It is a long distance walk from the main entrance. You have to buy tickets to enter. It is a wonderful Architecture.
There are open vehicles which could take around 10 -12 people at a time. Therefore it is more convenient than walking as it is a huge area. Remember to buy Olympic so verniers from the shops near by. When you are in China always bargain. You could buy for 10 a product price for 100.
