Fantastic little restaurant. The staff treated us like family, and the food was superb. Prices are below what we experienced elsewhere and food was tops!

We stayed at the Park Plaza hotel right across the street and decided to eat here because it was raining. The atmosphere was very nice. Nicely decorated and very clean. The staff did not speak english but the menu had pictures and english, so we had no problems ordering. We ordered half a duck and noodles as well as the luffa stuffed with garlic and dried shrimp. The duck was good, noodles were okay, and the luffa wasn't bad but wasn't to our tastes. For those traveling to china for the first time, it may seem strange but it is very normal to be served warm or hot water to drink, and to be charged a fee for your plate setting or napkins. We had a 2rmb fee on our tab that I believe was for the wet napkins. Overall I would recommend this if you are close by but I would not go out of the way to eat here.

Very Chinese clientele gave us the opportunity to join the locals. Absence of English speakers did not interfere with ordering a delicious meal using photos on menu.

Great staff, very helpful and polite and good food. We ate here an embarrassing number of times while in Beijing. If you want noodles and rice, it's great. If you would like to try bullfrog, also possible. Our favorite was the lamb chop with chilies and rolled rice.

Little English is spoken but the menus are pictures and the staff are sympathetic to our attempts at sign language and small amounts of Mandarin.

We stopped here on a whom, and were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent. It was a bit awkward with the staff speaking very little English and us not accustomed to some of the Cantonese meal traditions, such as hot water served instead of cold water, and fresh plates delivered part way through the meal (it took a moment to figure out why the waiter was taking part of our meal away and giving us fresh plates). We spent $20 for 2 of us and left quite satisfied.
