This private club is top notch. The location is a bit odd, as the new building (in traditional Chinese design) is plopped amongst a hodgepodge of other commercial buildings. And, it didn't seem to be very close to any of the tourist sites. However, once inside it is first class all the way. Transportation to and from the airport comes with the room. There are no "grounds" ... but the exercise facility is more than adequate.

Temperatures in beijing were in the 20s (degrees F) but the the hospitality was exceptionally warm. Fantastic food, good gym abd the rooms were very nice. Incredible beds. Excellent all around stay. Location is close to the Forbidden City as well.

I cannot find anything negative to mention about this place. The room is excellent/the bathroom is excellent - especially the rain shower. The breakfast is outstanding. The Oi Suen Restaurant we tried was so so yummy. The gym was great, the swimming pool is a good size. There is sauna and steam rooms. Changing room facilities are perfect.
Service = EXCELLENT.
BEST ..... if you are able to book a room here then look no further for another place to stay.

This is my first stay with my family (2 boys aged 8 and 2) which we have high expectation due to previous TA comments and recommendations from friends. I have to admit that this hotel has done an excellent job to exceed our expectation. There are a number of nice touches such as fruits in room / hot drinks at lobby to add a little bit of comfort in staying there. Service is personal and the staff are very helpful in offering advices on sight-seeing etc. It would be even better if it could be closer to the main street (Wangfujing). Nevertheless, a 10-15 min walk (which we feel safe walking back even at night) would not be a good reason for not coming back.

Gorgeous rooms in a quiet hotel in Beijing. Considering Beijing is so crowded and busy these days it was nice to stay in a room that was quiet in a old style looking building right in the middle of the city. We could run to the Forbidden City in the morning (it's a bit busy running there but so amazing to be running around the sights). The pool is gorgeous although not outdoors and I've never seen a gym with so many unused treadmills. We ate at two of their restaurants and they were excellent and not very expensive. The kids loved the morning buffet. Don't stay here if you want to experience the pace and crowds of the city but if you've been to Beijing before and want peace and luxury this place is recommended.

This club is highly exclusive with staff who are keen to serve. It sets an example of what a hotel should be like. It is at a very quiet corner. Transfer to the airport is included in the room charge. The breakfast is buffet style but extremely rich in quality and variety. I had hosted a dinner and found the price very reasonable even I also ordered red wine.
A definite stay for me next time in Beijing unless there are good reasons not to do so.

There is no stone left unturned in this place. The breakfast is hearty, the other restaurant serves excellent Cantonese cuisine. The room is luxuriously appointed, service impeccable. My family party of 9 utilised the concierge service to the extreme, and they booked our every meal and transportation. But most importantly, it's a private club and feels like one. Very exclusive with no "strangers" lurking around. A great place that we will definitely return to year after year.
