“My favorite hotel in Beijing”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

Great location, great staff, great views. Free breakfast and high tea at the 64th floor lounge overlooking the Central China television tower is one of the best hidden benefits of the hotel. And you can always pop down into one of the best malls in Beijing for snacks.

Being a resident in Beijing it is difficult to find a great venue for a relaxed weekend get away. The China World Summit Wing surprised us in every way. Very luxurious décor and great and friendly staff from the welcoming to the check out. Best feature is a great breakfast buffet with excellent views over the city as well as the health club with their infinity salt water pool. Even being a business hotel during the week it is a great family venue on the weekends. Recommend it to all.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a bird view to the forbidden city. It is breathtaking and they do not charge...

Dear JudyPrigol,

Thank you very much for spending time making review for us. As you said in your review, Summit Wing is not only an ideal luxury business hotel, but also an optimal choice for weekend escape in the city.

In addition to the Atmosphere bar on the top floor and infinite swimming pool, our guests can also enjoy the magnificent Fitness Centre (also on F78) for free or go to the CHI Spa on 77th floor for a luxurious and refreshing treatment. We also have several restaurants in house providing remarkable views and impressive dining experience.

Next time when you need a city escape to get yourself refreshed, please come back to Summit Wing :)

Best regards.

my 2nd trip to beijing, first time was at the Opposite house and really loved it, but didn't like how low to the ground it was. So, this time, i wanted to try the world summit wing which is one of the tallest skyscrappers in beijing and probably the newest hotel.

Pros:
1) amazing views....on a clear day....you can see everything and its beautiful!
2) service is top notch and attentive.
3) comfortable beds and linen, towels were ok quality.
4) towel warmer is a nice touch.
5) amenities are what you'd expect from a highend hotel.
6) location is good, connected to a shopping mall and main street. lots of food selection and options.
7) great bar with nice views....and wine selection was respectable and have a good price range for any pocket book.

Cons
1) the hotel lobby is underwhelming....low ceiling, and not impressive lounge/waiting area.
2) design of the hotel feels outdated...from the materials like the kind of marble and granite used feels very 90s. overall, very dark...even if it is a new hotel. The shangri-la look needs to be updated.
3) hallway layout is like a maze and confusing...you'll get it after a while.
4) room is a bit on the small side...and again, with outdated interior design.
5) they should really invest in TOTO automated toilets like park hyatt and other modern highend hotels. at least put heated bathroom floors.
6) breakfast was a bit underwhelming compared to other shangri-la buffet breakfast.

overall, i would not stay here again for the amount of money i paid....i would choose the Opposite house or Park Hyatt again.

Just ending my trip in Beijing and waiting for the flight back home now. Had a nice stay in Beijing though the weather is a bit gloomy, but my stay in the Summit Wing hotel makes the whole trip perfect. Staying in such a luxury hotel locating in the city landmark building is quite an extravagant treatment to a leisure traveler but I really enjoyed...the spacious room, fancy bathtub, the not that clear but still impressive city night view, but the Summit Wing people are so nice and make you feel home - to a solo traveler who's looking for relaxation and release, all of these is perfect. And the room rate is quite attractive in the quiet season. Can't wait for my next trip here...

The location of China World Summit Wing Bing is perfect,it's located within the China World Trade Center, the golden place of Beijing, so you can have lot of shopping/dining/amusement choice in the premise.Plus, you can have the magnificent view of CBD @ Beijing from your stayed room and the public area of hotel. The staff there is very nice and helpful, and satisfy my needs as fast as possible,e.g., late check out. The breakfast is perfect, has a lof of choice.

The hotel occupies the floors from 64 to 80 of this 80-story skyscraper, China World Trade Center. Access to the hotel lobby is via a separate lift, which requires room cards. You then have to go around to another lift that takes you to the guest rooms. Again, room cards required, which can be tricky sometimes, but at least you feel safer. The hotel is connected to a nice shopping mall.
I had an Executive King room, which was nice and spacious. The staff were friendly.
Some of the room amenities: Huge bath and a nice shower, Iron and iron board, Coffee machine, Fire resistant gas masks, Big flat screen TV, Safe deposit, Free WIFI.
