We came here twice!
I loved shopping here. The staff were all too happy to be on their phones which let me look at things before I buy.
Haggle hard and they'll eventually give in. I bought an amazing Prada bag for 260 RMB. The price she gave me was 1800RMB! A really good place to buy Chinese souvenirs too.
The market is next to a large shopping center with lots of restaurants which is a perfect place to end up after a long day of shopping.

Was here at end of Dec 2013. This is a good place for your shopping for all the "branded' goods from sports shoes, outdoor wear, bags, etc.etc.etc. and like advice from our travel community please make sure you bargain like hell!!!! Like to specially mention the Food Court at the top floor, a great place to sample some of the local food, at least you can be assured of a reasonable price without being ripped off and it is more hygienic that eating at road side stalls etc.. Surprisingly, the dumpling here was good and so was the 'fish hot-pot'. Also for our Muslim friends, there is a stall run by Chinese Muslim serving both rice and noodles. If you are not into these 'branded stuff', then next to this mall is Uniqlo and many other Original Branded Shops and further down behind the mall leads you to a super high end mall with names like Lanvin, MiuMiu, Mont Blanc etc etc

They will try to rip you off, so bargain everything. Don't ask the price if you are not going to buy it. Otherwise they will yell at you and follow you around. Don't touch it if you don't want to buy it either. They can be very insistent. Check the quality of what you are buying!

Prices can be very low there, but the bargain is wild. If you aren't really sure that you want to buy some product, never ask for the price, or even look closer. If you do so, the seller will follow you through the halls trying to drag you back, even grabbing you by the arm or by your sleeves. It may be funny in the beginnig, but soon turns to be really annoying. There are other places where prices are also low and you have to bargain for what you want, but with less aggressive sellers.

Market shopping in Beijing is different from any shopping you'll ever do. The vendors are high-strung, they grab your arm, yell at you, and most importantly they bargain hard, with all the tricks of the trade. Having said all that, you need to have the right attitude and not get angry - and bargain just as hard. When a vendor starts off with 100, you start off at 20. Yashow is great for all the knock-offs you could ever want. Shoes, purses, luggage, clothing, t-shirts, Chinese arts and crafts, fabric, made-to-measure clothing (Chinese and Western), electronics, DVD's, jewelry, toiletries, get a manicure and pedicure at a great price at Lily Nails on the 4th floor - you name it, Yashow has it. If you want cheap they have it. If you want A-quality, you need to ask for it. With it's great location in the Sanlitun area and beside The Village where they sell the real thing, so you can stay slightly out of the maddening crowds of Beijing. Enjoy 5 floors of shopping experience, you and all the other tourists!
