Isn't it odd, when one references reviews of restaurants and finds totally opposing views. What happens? I know that all reviews are subjective but can a restaurant really go from “Excellent” to “Terrible” in the space of a few days?
I have read two of the comments on the Angus Grill at the Crowne Plaza, Wangfujing and I am puzzled. I agree with one, the restaurant is a pleasant respite from Chinese cuisine. When you feel in need of comfort food, there is nothing like a good steak and the steaks in this restaurant are very good. The other review baffles me.
The restaurant is comfortable and peaceful; staff members are most accommodating, helpful and efficient. Our order arrived promptly, was piping hot and the house wine excellent, served in large glasses and good value. There were no sandwiches on the menu! So, on this occasion, I side with the positive view, I will visit again the next time I am in Beijing, in an effort to confirm my opinion.
