Hotel is in a safe and very nice part of town. Located in the embassy area a little ways from Tianeman (sp?) Sq and government offices. Very nice service in a relaxed and non stuffy atmosphere. Remember the happy hour with free cocktails from 6 -7 in the Press Club bar. The room was spacious with a full bath and super comfortable bed. Butler met me upon arrival and pressed my work clothes and shined my shoes. It was a great touch. Breakfast is nice.

The place is located in one of the best areas in Beijing specially if you are a non chinese. It's just a few minutes away from main tourist areas such as Tian An Men, 5 minutes walking distance from shopping areas, and a lot of restaurants and wonderful clubs nearby.

Stayed for a week during Late July on business.

Service was excellent, staff were friendly, room was spacious and clean. The hotel is well situated near the center of Beijing with convenient access to both Xicheng and the east side of the city. Hotel is only a short cab ride from Sanlitun and other tourist attractions.

Wireless Internet was excellent and the facilities were good with full gym, pool, spa and sauna.

Breakfast buffet could have been better given cost, but a la carte menu was quite good.

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, giving the hotel a warm home like atmosphere.

Room Tip: Try a higher floor away from lifts if you want a quiet room. Also always choose non-smoking if you...

Not for anything is The St. Regis Beijing touted as the best luxury hotel in Beijing. From the spacious accommodation to the highly contemporary appointments and the wide choice of rooms the property is truly a guest’s dream hotel. Add to the fine physical trappings the great service from the staff and you are in seventh heaven. Factor in the great food choices and you are truly there. Try the other facilities including the business center, the gym, the hot springs and the spa and you are suffused with goodness. All in all The St. Regis Beijing qualifies as the height of Chinese hospitality. Additionally, the location is perfect as Tiananmen Square is just a ten minute cab ride away. Other attractions close by include Silk Market, Lama Temple and Fragrant Hill besides The National Arts Center and The Ming Tombs as also The Great Wall of China.

Among the premier international hotel brands, the St Regis is one of the oldest in Beijing. As a result, the rooms and facilities are a bit old-style and even dated. The restaurants are kind of OK-to-mediocre. So the place lacks buzz and sometimes looks deserted. However, they have a great spa (with natural hot springs for the jacuzzis!) and gym, outstanding service (with the unbeatable St Regis butler service), and they offer a better price than the newer 6-star hotels. An oasis of calm fitting for the old diplomatic area where the hotel is located.

Stayed here for two night while on business. We hosted a small, very high end, business meeting here. The environment is refined. The staff is attentive. The location for government and business related meetings is excellent. We held a dinner in the Celestial Room restaurant and they did a great job supporting us from concept to wrap up.

The rooms are elegant and well appointed. The desk and work space is very good....among the best I have experienced.

Areas for slight improvement could be in the banquets and reception teams ---they are welcoming but just not as crisp as they could/should be.

If you want a great location and a very professional, comfortable, and business-friendly venue, then, by picking the St. Regis you can't go wrong. Its not cheap but the value you get is real!
