“Great breakfast buffet!”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

We only visited here to try their breakfast buffet at Jing. Priced at CNY 190, they served a wide array of Chinese and Western-style breakfast. Superb food. Great location. Very attentive and courteous staff. Peninsula Hotel Beijing also boasts several high-end stores inside. I give this 6 stars out of 5 stars.

I liked the hotel. The location was excellent and close to some of the the major attractions. Public transport is available cause this hotel is on the main road. There are some good, but expensive, restaurants in the vicinity. The front desk is very helpful and they guided us well through our stay at Beijing. Service is good and Beijing, by itself, is warm and hospitable.
The lobby is nice. The ATM is within the hotel complex and other banks are nearby.
The con is that the hotel restaurant- Huang Ting is not very good. It did not have all the items on the menu for dinner. That was really disappointing, especially, since we were really tired after our day long trips.
However, my sister, me and my daughter really enjoyed our stay in Beijing overall and would stay here again.

Very nice hotel. We had a beautiful suite which was laid out over two levels. The lower level had a half bath and living room and the upper level alcove a full bath and bedroom. There were two story floor to ceiling windows to provide ample light. This hotel isn’t as new as the Peninsula Shanghai, but overall it is a very nice hotel. I believe that all of the suites have club access – this was a really nice oasis before and after packed days/evenings in Beijing. There is food service throughout the day at the club – snacks, afternoon tea, evening appetizers. – although we were almost never there at those times. We generally made it to breakfast - where they did a great job of figuring out to make my morning mocha which was not on their menu. We also enjoyed relaxing in the club over a glass of wine at the end of each night. It was a pleasant way to debrief on the day’s events. It’s possible to walk to both tourist sights and malls from the hotel - it is very well located. However, the hotel can arrange a car and driver which seems to be the preferred method of transportation for many in Beijing – including locals.

Room Tip: The suites are very nice.

Recently stayed there. Pros are a great location and pool. Work-out facilities are good, but crowded in mornings. Cons are that the rooms are a bit tired, especially bath rooms, and the breakfast buffet was the worst of 4 different hotel breakfast buffets experienced on this trip. Like the majority of places in Northern China, no gluten free breads, cereals, noodles, or dim sum items. In a land full of rice, how is that possible? Much better hotel values are available in this city.

I have traveled in ten countries over the past eight months, staying in a wide range of hotels. Without a doubt, the Peninsula Hotels are the best I have ever experienced. Beautiful rooms, fantastic location, and service that is, at times, stunning. The staff learned my name, remembered that I liked creme with my coffee, and anticipated my requests. I stayed at a Hilton after this hotel and it didn't stand a chance. The only problem with this hotel is it will spoil you terribly.

Room Tip: They seem to have a range of rooms. My travel agent set up an upgrade and the room was fantastic. Fr...

Came here on business for a couple of nights and was really impressed, the hotel itself is in a very good location. We had three rooms in our group and we were all on different floors, all the rooms were different but all offered excellent levels of comfort and convenience albeit a little tired.

The hotel restaurants serve excellent food from breakfast through to dinner, the menu is quite international and everything we had hit the spot! And the serving staff were friendly and very efficient.

The hotel service was excellent delivered by friendly efficient staff. Both check in and check out was quick and efficient, this always sets the tone.

Overall a good experience, can't really fault it but obviously some updating is needed though at the moment it's OK but
