It was very scenic and offered a view of the forbidden city rooftops and city lines. Worth the walk up the steep incline.

Wander the grounds of beihai park and climb to the top of the white pagoda for some great views. Very relaxing.

Rather generic park with fewer tourists and fewer tour guide touts. Really enjoyed the battery operated boat ride that took us to various attractions around the lake.

Incredible. The fact that more than half ofthis park is water adds to its allure. The hilltop temples/pagodas, ceremonial halls and bell-shaped shrine are engineering masterpieces. The views over the park and of surrounding Beijing are magnificient. Shaded pathways, ancient courtyards and archways and stone bridges spanning waterways make this a lovely park to explore and wander at a leisurely pace.

The lake, the paths, the temples and the views make you rest for a while although the city is always in the rush.
