tried so many roasted duck in Beijing, including the most famous one, but Siji Minfu is the best among all. you should try it, other dishes are good too.

Well, I will never be able to have Peking duck again without thinking about this restaurant. There are no words! Keep in mind that there is a long queue - and the wait could be long.

But it is worth it!

Arrived at 5 o'clock and had to wait about 15 minutes. Ordered their famous roasted duck along with pancakes and condiment and it did not disappoint! It was delicious and with the variety of condiments you we're able to create a variety of savory pockets (our waiter came to the table and taught us how to properly place the meat and condiments on the pancake in order to make a little square. While some parts of their service were good, others left much to be desired, for example laughing at us when we didn't understand or standing in close proximity and looking over our shoulders. Considering that we weren't the only tourist there, I found that to be annoying. The location isn't close to train stations but it's definitely worth the walk for its delicious duck and reasonable prices. Ample seating area but by the time we walked out the wait was long. Free drinks and snacks as you wait. PA system to call numbers was also very helpful for non Chinese speakers like me.

We ordered the pecking duck, one appetizer and soft drinks. Very reasonable price for the "show". The staff was really nice, no English at all like all China. We had a great meal!
