Had the great pleasure of having dinner with a friend at Austen Kitchen while spending a week in Beijing. We called from our hotel and booked a table, but due to difficulties getting a taxi, we were very late. When we finally arrived, the hostess seemed extremely relieved that we had made it there, so she really cares about her customers.
I enjoyed a great mozzarella and tomato salad, then a fantastic pasta Carbonara, all enjoyed with a bottle of the house red wine. I really recommend the Pannacotta for dessert!
Really an exceptional place, well worth the visit. As others have mentioned, Cici is very helpful and accommodating when it comes to helping you find both the place, and to find out which dishes to have. I hope to return one day!
