The location is superb. It is walking distance to the Beijing International Convention Center (BICC), the National Stadium a.k.a. The Giant Bird's Nest, the Swimming Complex a.k.a. The Cube, and to other hotels, reataurants, eateries and supermarkets that are all a stone's throw away. The rooms and bathrooms are basic and clean. Towels and toiletries are replaced every day. The rooms come with free internet, but provides only 1 cable. If there are more than 1 user, you may have to bring your own router. Walls are thin and i could hear banging of doors from my neighbors. Breakfast buffet is quite bad. Everything is glistening in oil, even the rice. And the selection is very strange, with weird combinations of different dishes. I skipped breakfast after my first morning there. Not to worry, Beijing food is quite cheap and you may simply step outside to find more eateries that won't cost you more than 2 USD. Lastly, my male colleagues did complain about knocking in the middle of the night. A lady claimed to have been phoned by my colleagues and had requested for her "services". Also, there are quite a few men and women loitering along the streets outside passing around Business cards of these "ladies with special services". Sometimes, they can be quite persistent. All in all, i would recommend this hotel for those who don't spend all day at the hotel. It is good value for money.
