Don't expect much in these rooms - mine didn't even have a kitschy pix on the wall (though said wall did have a large, long crack ...) You get minimalist everything. The location is good though -in the embassy area of Beijing and quite near good connections for buses/subways. Plus the staff was pretty good (not great English, but they found someone to translate when needed) and the rooms are modestly priced for the location, and seemed clean enough. Expect the rock-hard Chinese mattresses and pretty threadbare towels. But next to the hotel (somehow part of the complex) is the much more upscale Yong An Hotel - don't miss their all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast for just 30 RMB. It has a reasonable assortment of Chinese and western options, including some cheese/fruit and pretty decent breads, which are rare in China. Bottom line on the Home Inn is that you'll want to stay here only if you are spending most of the day elsewhere - it's a place to crash for a reasonable price considering that Beijing hotels are generally expensive, and the neighborhood is quiet by Chinese standards so you will get your rest!.
