Very Good place to stay in Beijing. A very short walk to Tienamen Square and the Forbidden City. Wangfujing St is also a short walk away. There is great food spots and the shopping was very good. Rooms are small but adequate, after all I did not travel half way around the world to spend time in my hotel room.
The AC was able to keep up with the brutally hot an humid days. Temperatures were topping out at 47c. This was very important! The AC is controlled by a remote with Chinese characters which I found confusing until I found the printed guide on the reverse side of the guide to the TV remote.
Breakfast buffet is very good with Chinese and North American options. We found them understaffed at dinner. The Chinese food was good however it arrived at the table one dish at a time and often one person had to begin eating while the table mate waited for a long time to receive their dishes. A family traveling with us had to wait for over an hour to get their food. It turned out that the server did not submit their order. No excuse really considering that there was only three other tables occupiedMore
