“Good location to Forbidden City and Wangfujing street”
Reviewed 31 October 2013

The hotel is in good location to Fobidden City (15-20 minutes walk) and Wangfujing street (15-20 minutes walk). There is a bus stop opposite the hotel where you can take bus 60 or 82 to the old town area (Beijing Bell and Drum Towers), about 15 minutes journey. Nearest subway is the Tiananmen East station (15-20 minutes walk from the hotel). As it is central location, subway lines can go many places in all directions.

Hotel itself is a 3 star hotel, reasonable price and decent accommodation. Reception staff are helpful, can speak Mandarin and English. One restuarant serving simple western and chinese food. Breakfast is alright with both Chinese and American food.

Overall, good location and price reasonable, recommended for short stay in Beijing.

Room Tip: Higher floor or away from lobby (noisy when people walk past the pathway to other rooms.

I am just completing my second stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic. Easy walk to many locations such as the Forbidden City, shopping, the street market etc. it is also close to the mainline subway. Situated in a very busy area but it it is very quiet. It is clean but a little tired. I would stay at this hotel anytime. Breakfast is not bad and there is a traditional restaurant right across the lane. Very safe area to walk at night.

but its proximity to Tianamen Square & the Forbidden City more than makes up for that & it is but very economical when compared with other hotels in the vicinity. Dinner in the restaurant was a mistake especially as there is a perfectly adequate restaurant with a friendly proprietor just across the road from the main entrance.
The breakfasts, however , were excellent. We stayed 4 nights & would definitely repeat the experience. The room was small, on the ground floor but there was no noise from the outside, the mattresses were firm but comfortable and the staff friendly. The assistant in the hotel shop went out of her way to source and have delivered overnight, a camera battery to replace a dying one which I would never have been able to replace before our departure to our next destination which was Iran.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights at both the beginning and end of our trip. The rooms were comfortable, but small. The bathroom had a good shower with good towels. There is a mini bar in the room with drinks for sale. Be careful of the extra amenities, like condoms - they are also for sale. The carpets are dingy and worn, but they do provide slippers in the room. Frankly, if they'd put in new carpet I would give it a 4. We found the bed to be comfortable - not too hard. The wi-fi was iffy; sometimes it worked in the room, but other times we had to go to the lobby to get it to work. We always did find someplace in the hotel that it worked, however. The best thing was the breakfast - an extensive buffet with both American and Chinese food, including an omelet station. The hotel is very conveniently located, just 3 blocks from the Forbidden City and the Tiananmen
East subway station. We used the subway extensively and it was very easy. If there were a nicer hotel close by that wasn't a lot more expensive, I would choose it instead, but otherwise I would be willing to stay at the Days Inn again because of the location and the breakfast.

Hotel location was superb , cos you can visit TianAnMen And Forbidden city, all walking distance.
Tian An Men was a little disappointing but Forbidden City was great.
Hotel Staff could manage some spoken english .
From this hotel , you can easily walk to WangFuJing Street which is basically a high end tourist commercial center.
A piece of advise, prices here are at the high end, would recommend visitors not to eat here. The so called famous Peking duck was a big disappointment!!!

The hotel was indeed centrally located and one can walk to the Forbidden City and the Tianamen Square from it. Safe area, only three floors so no earthquake scare too. The breakfast choices were okay but maybe they should change the choices from day to day. The internet connection's very slow though. All in all a good deal and was truly value for one's money.

Room Tip: Don't get the cheapest room as it will be in the basement. Get the ones on the upper floors pref...

The hotel personnel were quite helpful but their internet connection for a fee is terrible and super slow....overall its an okay hotel, its near everything like wangfuji, forbidden city, tianamen square and other parks..breakfast was so so though. Also some of our rooms smelled like cigarette smoke even if its a no smoking floor and room.
