“Good service and excellent location”
Reviewed 1 November 2010

The room is clean and tidy, staff is willing to help. Despite the room is small, probably most people only stay there at night.

Location has been mentioned by others, can visit Tiananmen square, imperial palace as well as the subway station by 10 minutes walk. When walked to another direction, can reach Wangfujing Street by also 10 minutes walk. Between the Tiananmen square and the hotel is Nan Chi Zi Da Jie, which is a narrow street that you can find low cost food for local Beijing people. You can experience the culture and dishes of local people from there. Probably this is also the place rich in food shops near the hotel apart from those in Wangfujing Street that specifically for tourists with altered style.

I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

This is a nicer version of other Days Inn ive stayed it. Is is nice to know that you can stay at an american hotel chain abroad and the same standard for service and cleanliness will still apply. I ahd no problems and my room was great the 4 days i stayed there. They even had HBO and room service which in some hotels in china are not easily found. The western breakfast was also very good.

I think it certainly is a cultural thing of expecting China hotl staff to attend to you when you are standing at the front desk. We booked a superior double and I would not recommend this romm it is in the basement section with a dark small window and the BED!!!!!! What is it with hard beds in China!!!!! it was more comfortable sleeping on the floor the carpet had more give than the hard bed it was like wood. The location is great with it's closeness to The Forbidden City and Metro lines.

Comfortable, well run, Courtyard style hotel with Hutong atmosphere and the Forbidden City a few minutes away, yet also just a few minutes walk from the bright lights and modern buildings and night life of bustling Beijing. Staff very helpful and spoke good English. Hotel clean and neat and the aircon worked well, as did the money changing machine in the reception area. We stayed in other hotels in Beijing and this one was value for money and the location was great, especially if you only have a few days in Beijing and you wish to be located in downtown.

We booked a standard room in the basement. We've been satisfied with the stay except for the smell in the room. Internet is fast and free. There is a nonstop automatic currency exchange machine in the lobby which is quite helpful (the rate is similar to the bank).
The staff is very helpful and speaks fluent English.

The hotel is located next to Tiananmen/Palace Museum and wangfujing shopping & food street.. Close to 2 metro stations: wangfujing and tiananmen east. I stayed in a deluxe twin room with my mum for 2 nights. The room is big, well equipped, but bathroom was not well-maintained. As I see, those who built the bathrooms for this hotel, had been using very low quality steel. There are rust and water-stained in the bathroom. One more thing is, the room was too dimly-lighted, because the lack of lights. As for bed, China is famous for hard beds, so don't complain!! The services provided by the staff are good. I will definitely stay in the same hotel again next time!

We spent just 1 night in this hotel. The situation is closed to metro station, to the forbidden city, to Wangfunjing... We had a room on the basements, so it explained a smell of humidity... however le cleaness was ok. The beds were very hard, not really confortable. For the same price, you can find better...
