No doubt this place is rated so high by the mass majority of the TripAdvisor community, currently the formidable No 1 of all restaurants of Shanghai even though it is not really a full-service restaurant. It is one of the most beautifully decorated lounges you can find anywhere, with a high-ceiling for grandeur, and with garden view, a central bar where good oysters are also served, and not least a library area like the sitting room of the affluent. These make it probably the best place for a relaxing afternoon tea among friends, in a quiet homely surrounding. The tea set is impressive, although at a price, and oysters are included in the set, with champagne. A real experience of luxury among friends, or for a casual business meeting. I probably will try to return whenever I return to Shanghai.
