We stayed here for 4 nights in February, 2012. Rooms are small but cozy. Young, the manager, was helpful and very accomodating. He took us around the block to a great place for steamed dumplings, arranged for a taxi to the airport at 5 am and arranged tours to the Great Wall and to an acrobatic show. The acrobatic show ended up being a tourist trap. If you have seen Cirque du Soleil I would skip the acrobatic show since it looks amaturish in comparison. The train station is a couple of blocks away and the surrounding area is a mixture of new and old. You really have the opportunity to explore the hutong on your own. Don't forget to look up and discover pigeon coops in the back of many hutong apartments. This is a great place to stay for an authentic Beijing experience.
