Stayed a few days in this mega river city. The hotel is very centrally located on the riverside. Beautiful lobby with huge marble columns. Impeccable service. Rooms are luxury and spacy. Internet works fine. Price is acceptable for the level of this hotel. Good coffee!

Second time staying there for a business trip within a year.
The good:
- prime location
- airy lobby
The bad:
- unreasonable toilet design (attached)
- big lobby without any chairs for guests to sit (yes there’re chairs in the bar)
The ugly:
- Fell right near the entrance because of their uneven carpet
- Nobody came to help after the fall. Asked them for alcohol wipe and they had none.
- Told the receptionist about the carpet (I didn’t even complained) but no response. Next day carpets double layered in the same position (See attached)

Won’t stay there again!

stay at this hotel for business trip,beautiful river view. the staff at front desk is very kind hearted and free upgrade to executive room. the breakfast is very delicious and various. i should go to the gym hahahha.

Stayed there for one night in April. While the hotel is quite impressive from outside and its huge lobby, the quality of the rooms and the professionalism of its staff are very disappointing. Upon checking in, there was no recognition of the SPG status. I was given room 4313 which has a tiny window about less than 20 inches wide and the room is dark and small. Even worse, it had a strong smell of smoking. I was told there was no room available in the executive floors and was given a room on the 25th floor after waiting for two hours. The staff then totally forgot the fruit plate gift for SPG elite members. The room was so hot (27 degree C) but air conditioner was turned off by hotel (to save money) . A technician finally came to my room and promised that he would turn it on later. Finally, when I tried to take shower, I could not find any shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the room as the staff forgot about it. I was finally fed up and talked to hotel manager named "Luke". He was apologetic but offered no assistance and showed little interest in listening to my comments. Net this was the worst hotel I ever stayed in China in the last 10 years. The hotel staff and its leadership showed no care about their guests, the hotel is poorly run and its staff are lack of work ethics and basic training in hospitality. I was so disappointed and moved to JW Marriott the next morning and it was a day and night difference. Stay away from Sheraton Chongqing

I booked an Executive Premier Room thinking I would get a large room with a view. That wasn't the case, the window was tiny, resulting in a dark grotto feeling. It didn't help that the door was fitted so poorly that I could hear every word spoken in the hallway, as well as every ding of the elevator, creak of the service cart and fumbling of a guest for their keycard. Inversely this will also mean people can hear everything you do in your room from the hallway.

The bathroom lights refused to turn off and the hotel had no umbrellas when it rained. Bellhop service only noticed me after I had checked in and made my way to the elevator, which is disappointing. I didn't have the heart to try the breakfast after all this.
