This place calls itself a hostel, but is actually more of a boutique hotel.
Very nice indeed, with prices to match!

The dorm (50rmb) was very nice, with aircon and comfy beds.
The hang out area is lovely with a tv that has lots of movies, computers and table and chairs.

The food and drink (we didn't indulge) is very expensive for the average backpacker and they wanted to charge us a high commission to book train tickets.

No doubt about it, this place is really nice with all the mod cons, but it's not really suited to backpackers. Perhaps more people on business.

We felt a bit out of place.

We stayed only one night in a double room in Greenforest Hostel since we only had one night in Chongqing. We would highly recommend this place to other travellers.

The hostel had opened only a couple of months ago when we were there. Hence, everything was brand new. The double room was big and clean, the toilet was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Nothing to complain about the rooms. The common area was big, had a pool table, a game console (Wii) and a bar. The young staff spoke good English and were really service-minded and friendly!

The location is perfect, just a short stroll to the clock tower and shopping streets and just opposite a metro station. The outside of the hostel is a bit rough (dirty and debris, not dangerous), so walking across the parking lot and up the stairs you're not expecting a hostel as nice as this.

WiFi worked fine in our room.
