Have stayed here several times and it is always a high standard. Booked a garden view room but thanks to my Marriott card we were upgraded to a harbour view room on the newly refurbished 20th floor. The room was very comfortable, not very spacious, but the air con is excellent and the bathroom well equipped. The main restaurant on the mezzanine is excellent with a fanastic choice at breakfast and it is equally good for dinner. Not cheap but good value. The hotel's chinese restaurant was a big disappointment to us although it has a Michelin star, maybe more syuited to local taste. The pool is very nice and the pool snack bar is very good for lunch. The best part for us was it is attached to the exhibiton centre and you do not have to go outside to go there.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room

Loved the hotel. Next to a Starbucks to grab breakfast if you want a cheaper option. they have fresh fruit juice too! Hotel is very nice and clean. Great gym. In walking distance to the train station very easy walk and coved in case of bad weather. Great view of the water ask for a room with a view. You can also see the light show as well. Train system is very easy to navigate. Get a pass if you will be there for a while. Hotel bar has small bites avaible if you get in late. We took the train from the airport and then the hotel bus. It is a great affordable option. All transportation I felt very safe and it was very clean. Also next to the ferry for easy access off of the Island.

Room Tip: Get a view of the Sea so you can see the light show.

Not a Marriott standard hotel. Lucky only one night. Rooms are exceptionally tired and run down. Need of an upgrade ASAP. Can't believe it's part of Marriott.

This is a very good hotel and ideally situated if you are attending an event at the Hong Kong Exhibition centre as you can walk through to it directly from the hotel. The harbour view rooms have an amazing view but the lower floor ones can be marred by the exhibition centre. The garden view is very pleasant so unless you are going to spend a lot of time in your room it may not be worth paying the difference. You can catch the ferry over to Kowloon across the road and central is a short taxi/MTR ride away.
The rooms are very comfortable but as with so many Asian hotels have a pathetic amount of storage space. 2 drawers to be precise plus the hanging cupboard. There is wired internet in the rooms which is free if you have a Marriot rewards card- otherwise there is a charge. Service in the hotel is first class and the buffet breakfast is the best I think I have ever had anywhere. Huge counters for fruits, amazing array of fruit juices from Mango to Watermelon to Orange. Large cooked breakfast areas and wonderful fresh breads and pastries. No delays for coffee top ups etc. In fact it is worth staying here just for the breakfast! There is a decent gym and massive heated outdoor pool although I found it a bit cool. You can lunch by the pool where again the service was very good.

3 nights stay on a round-world trip booked via Trailfinders. Only on the small print of the booking did I see that the hotel was being renovated. Was woken on Sunday at 10am (trying to have a lie-in) by the sound of hammer drills. Apparently - it was an emergency fix for a water main. Was offered another room to sleep in - but was already awake! Using the Gym involved a long trek to the Marriott hotel next door and if you missed a sign post you were lost. All said and done, Anthony on front of house apologised and I was given a free all-you-can-eat dinner in the main restaurant (even if they had no room and had to create a table for me) and a free limo to the airport.

Room Tip: Harbourside rooms carry a premium, but they are still extending the harbour outwards so you are actually better off avoiding them. Your photos will show lots of construction work and/or the roof of the HK Exhibition Centre
