up the stairs @ you will find strolling along the silvermine beach wan tung road (turn right from the ferry @ Mui WO and stay as close to the beach as you can).

Njoy a drink with great Apple Crumble or have the also western style food on the versatile menu.
No cars just bike's and people walking and some friendly dogs with a great view.
Kids can play at the beach in your view while you are having a drink.

Check the Ferry time table so you are back in time without stress if you stay in central.

It was Chinese New Year and we were walking from Discovery Bay to Mui Wo and the CBC was towards the end of the walk and there was little likelihood of much else being open so we tried it. The place which utilizes the old Memorial Hall in Mui Wo on the beach resembles someone's untidy front room or lounge. The seating which appeared to be all outside was cramped onto a narrow balcony. There were plenty of customers but I do not know if this is because it was Chinese New Year. The sigh outside says "The Best Kept Secret in Hong Kong" - oh please do me a favour. The service was average and the waitress did not seem to understand the order and to boot forgot to order my main course presumably because she could not compute the fact I ordered my main course and then added a starter. I think she thought I had changed my mind, which I hadn't. That said, the food was not bad but they seemed to focus on piling as much food on your plate as they can but it does seem to be cooked to order so one cannot complain. The thing I did not like was however was that there were two or three dogs, clearly belonging to the owner, wandering under and around the tables. This it totally unacceptable and unhygienic. I do not know how they keep a license whilst allowing this. It could be a lot better if they made a bit more effort and tidied the place up instead of it looking like a hippie community.

Good value family pizza night and kids were very well looked after. British pub vibe with a number of welcoming locals in attendance.

just in the last corner of silver mine beach reachable only by walk or by bicycle, here's China Beach a nice restaurant opwith a good choice of beers and drinks as weel.
he menu has all proper British choices along with some good international dishes, moussaka, amd greek salad, but also a very good veggie chilli. Not to mention the apple crumble (I suugest to order just one and share between 2 or 3).
the restaurant is only open on week ends and reservations are strongly suggested.
After lunch you can just go down the stairs and refresh in the sea wich is just few meters away.

Home from Home, with excellent food,
This is a dog friendly restaurant overlooking the Silver mine beach,The bbq steaks, fish and prawns are great, Spicy cheesy bread is bliss!.
These local expats have been in the catering business for years and really know what they are doing. there style, its a laid back place for laid back people with good hearty food.
This is not a multi dollar chain restaurant with ironed table cloths/napkins/staff etc etc which lacks soul! so not for everyone!

Top location, great food & view.
