This is a truly wonderful restaurant. Try the prawns. Try the spring chicken, have a pint of beer. Look out at the South China Sea. Enjoy a different side of Hong Kong in a beautiful, friendly place.

Huge portions of tasty food, nice location with very friendly and laid back staff. Drinks are well priced with 2-for-1 cocktails. Lots of friendly pet dogs. We will be back.

Dont expect too much and you wont be disappointed. Its an unpretentious beach club, on the beach, with solid portions of hearty food, well-prepared, without costing an arm and a leg, with friendly service. Ideal to watch the sunset, with a bottle of wine, and sensible conversations with nearby diners. Just dont think of Central or Discovery Bay. Its a dog-friendly Mui Wo eatery, well worth a stop.

up the stairs @ you will find strolling along the silvermine beach wan tung road (turn right from the ferry @ Mui WO and stay as close to the beach as you can).

Njoy a drink with great Apple Crumble or have the also western style food on the versatile menu.
No cars just bike's and people walking and some friendly dogs with a great view.
Kids can play at the beach in your view while you are having a drink.

Check the Ferry time table so you are back in time without stress if you stay in central.

It was Chinese New Year and we were walking from Discovery Bay to Mui Wo and the CBC was towards the end of the walk and there was little likelihood of much else being open so we tried it. The place which utilizes the old Memorial Hall in Mui Wo on the beach resembles someone's untidy front room or lounge. The seating which appeared to be all outside was cramped onto a narrow balcony. There were plenty of customers but I do not know if this is because it was Chinese New Year. The sigh outside says "The Best Kept Secret in Hong Kong" - oh please do me a favour. The service was average and the waitress did not seem to understand the order and to boot forgot to order my main course presumably because she could not compute the fact I ordered my main course and then added a starter. I think she thought I had changed my mind, which I hadn't. That said, the food was not bad but they seemed to focus on piling as much food on your plate as they can but it does seem to be cooked to order so one cannot complain. The thing I did not like was however was that there were two or three dogs, clearly belonging to the owner, wandering under and around the tables. This it totally unacceptable and unhygienic. I do not know how they keep a license whilst allowing this. It could be a lot better if they made a bit more effort and tidied the place up instead of it looking like a hippie community.
