Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui

The location is good for TST, although as mentioned elsewhere, it can be difficult to get to if you are walking to the hotel the first time. It is easy to get to the metro once you figure out where you are though. Room was pretty standard for a 4 start HK hotel. Nothing that stood out as exceptional, but everything was done well.

Stayed two nights in late October, and overall a very good standard of room and Club Lounge. The hotel is very well located about 3 mins walk to Nathan Road, and 15 mins to the Star Ferry terminal.

Our main problem was initially finding the hotel - even the taxi driver from the airport didn't have it on his map of Kowloon hotels, and we only resolved the issue by using my mobile to call the hotel to give the driver directions. Even then, the entrance to the hotel on Hanoi Road is not immediately obvious, and could use some better signage (we later discovered that there is a lower ground floor taxi drop-off and pick-up point). Once in the ground floor entrance, an elevator ride is needed to main Reception, followed by a walk to another elevator to get to the Club level Reception. Once there, check in was very well handled by very friendly staff, and our room, while smaller than I'd expected, was quiet, very comfortable, and well appointed.

The Club Lounge itself is a little basic, not the warmest layout, but breakfast is good, and there's a good assortment of canapés, snacks and wines in the evening. Fabulous view across the Harbour. Seating is a little too close together for private conversation at busy times. On one evening, a family with a crying infant sat at the table about two feet from us despite there being lots of other seating, effectively preventing conversation, and we were forced to move to another area. This was our major (and only real) complaint - babies and infants should not be allowed into an adult facility at cocktail time!

Overall though, a very good stay, and we'd be happy to return.

I've stayed in Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui, for one night in late October. I've been staying with Hyatt Regency Sha Tin but I chose Tsim Sha Tsui this time as an alternative.

Though I have used my Hyatt points to reserve a Club Room, I've upgraded to a Club Room with nice harbor view at 23/F thanks to my Diamond membership that I appreciate. The room is nice - with a nice harbor view and excellent amenities. The Wi-Fi connectivity is great.

Fitness center is at 10/F. The equipments there are good and I do enjoy a great workout.

The Staff in the Club at 23/F are nice and attentive. The breakfast in the lounge is also nice and with good variety.

Room Tip: As for the location, it is actually a one-minute walk to the nearest MTR station (Tsim Sha Tsui, exi...

Booked this hotel because we are a gold card member & we've been staying with Hyatt in Hua Hin, Thailand for 3 years & we have no complains so we decided to check if their Tsim Sha Tsui hotel with be just as good. When we got to the lobby we were greeted with a warm interior. It was huge! Check-in was a breeze but because we arrived at around 11:30 am there was only 1 room available for our family. We decided to go up to freshen up & wait for the other room keys there. We were lucky to get the room at the side of the hotel (Rm. 1126) so we got a panoramic view & the room was extra big than the other regular rooms. The other 2 rooms were just as nice but smaller. All 3 rooms have different bathrooms. The K11 Mall below the hotel was a small one & with few choices of restaurants but there are a lot of other malls that are walking distance from the hotel. We just had a hard time figuring out which direction to go because the hotel was in between small roads. Tsim Sha Tsui MTR was very near so going to Disneyland was not a problem. Try the Thai restaurant at the ground floor at the side of the hotel. It was one of the best Thai cuisines we had outside of Thailand.

I stayed here on a recent business trip. Staying in Kowloon, versus the Grand Hyatt across the bay in HK proper, not only saved a little money, but offered two things the other side of the bay could not: (1) the main shopping district in all of HK and (2) the stunning views of the skyscrapers of HK.

Kowloon has numerous malls and these malls all have the top brands from each level of fashion. D&G, Chanel, LV, all the way down to the local brands of I.T. They also are very big into the watch retail business...every other store seems to be a watch store.

A short walk from the Regency is the bay. The hotel is positioned about center to the full skyline so it is an easy walk to get the full view. The lights of the buildings at night are worth the trip to the waterfront.

The lobby restaurant, although I only had coffee and not a full meal, looked like it could accommodate any appetite.

The workout facilities were quite nice for the Regancy level of Hyatt properties. There were enough treadmills to avoid a jam and the circuit weights, although not a complete circuit, were good enough for an upper body workout. The workout facility was split into several rooms so the free weights and balance balls were with another view of the Kowloon rooftops.

Top location, good size room, excellent restaurants especially the choices at breakfast was terrific.
I used the pool, but disappointed that there was no spa facility. Hence the property missed a five star rating from me. Small but well equipped gym.
Great limo service to and from the airport, this service is a must.
Close to MTR and Nathan Road
