“Tiny room, not too clean!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013 via mobile

Tiny tiny room! Yes, I know it's Hong Kong and it's a budget hotel but I could hardly squeeze in with my luggage. That would not have been a big deal if they had at least cleaned the room. The bathroom wall was dirty, the room furnishings were dirty. I found out on the second day that my bedsheets were not changed, and on forther investigation found out it probably hasn't been changed from the last occupant as there were strange hair strands under the duvet and pillows that definitely weren't mine! Ugh!
I had to strip off the sheets and pillow cases and put them out to force the cleaners to change them.
I don't care what budget a hotel caters to but it HAS to be clean and this one failed woefully.
Please stay away.

My friend and I stayed from 24/8-31/8 & had no issue with this hotel. Absolutely love how cozy the room is especially after a long day of traveling, one could just jump onto the bed and had a good night rest. However, I do agree that the walls are too thin. A drop of a pin from the next room could even be heard from our room.

On a related note, if you don't mind the location of the hotel situated along the funeral's road, then you ought to stay in this hotel. Also take note that there's two Bridal Tea House in Hung Hom, one is in Wuhu St (looks prettier and more classy) and another one is in Winslow St- along the funeral's road (looks dated). Transportation wise, it is very convenient ie. within 5mins walking distance to MRT station, bus and mini van. Although it could get a little creepy at night (cos most of the shops closed pretty early), but I felt safe maybe cos of the hospitality shown by the local people.

Easy to get around by bus or subway. The room and bathroom is super small, bed was pretty hard. The sink is tiny so its impossible to brush your teeth without getting the floor all wet. The window behind the toilet didn't close all the way so it was super cold sitting on the toilet. Water pressure was poor and water wasn't hot enough, it was warm at best (an absolute nightmare in January). Staff was pretty nice but unable to help much. The room had thin walls so you can hear door of other rooms close and open all the time. Ok for a day or two, but not longer than that.

It's hard to find a hotel at a price as low as this, so I thought it's still worth it for people on a tight budget. Got a twin room on the 25th floor (highest floor) for 2 nights, you can actually see part of the Victoria Harbour which was great! The room was small with hardly any walking space between the two beds but that's the same everywhere else in Hong Kong. It was clean though, and the bathroom was big enough. Location wise, I thought it's great, just had to cross an overhead bridge to reach the Hung Hom MTR station and we managed to travel to Shenzhen and back in one day. You can also walk to Tsim Sha Tsui quite easily if you know the way/follow the map. One incident that spoiled my experience quite abit was that the lift broke down when we were going up and the doors didn't open when we reached the 25th floor, so we were trapped in there for sometime and only got out after manually pushing the doors open. The staff responded quite fast though so that made up for it slightly. Another thing was no Wi-Fi in the rooms so we had to go down to the common area beside the lobby to use the internet.

Hotel located in the funeral/florest/wreath district of HK and about 600 meters from the East Rail Line. There is nothing to do or see in the Hung Hom, but once you get on the East Rail Line you can travel directly to Shenzhen, China. And it was also a breeze to get to the HK Airport from this location.
The staff spoke passable English. The bed was clean and comfy but had cobwebs underneath the bed. The hot water pot was dirty; still had lemon or orange plup in it, so I did not use it to make my tea. Furniture was a little dated, faded and dusty. Toiletries and bottle water was supplied free of charge.Tried to take a shower in the afternoon but ran out of hot water; In the morning there was hot water but took a long time to get hot.

Room Tip: Choose a lower floor. You might get hot water quicker...shorter distance from the boiler.

The hotel is very near to the Hung Hom station. Coming from the airport bus A21 will bring you to Hung Hom station, from there its only a short walk over a bridge to the hotel. The staff is friendly but not very helpful when you ask about train connections or how to go to some of the attractions of Hong Kong. The hotel is good for a short trip, i would not recommend for long stay. You always have to keep in mind that this is a low cost hotel. I will come back to that hotel again and again.

Front desk - OK if you get the English speaking lady.
Rooms - only good for one person - no wifi in room (but available on the ground floor free of charge) - veryclean rooms - no bad smells and nice shower-AC very good.
Food - no available at hotel but a lot within 5 mins walk
Hung Hom - only 5 mins walk away
Chinese Tourists - try and check in about 5pm or after 8pm otherwise the whole place is jammed with Chinese Tourists and it can take 20 mins to wait for the elevator.

Room Tip: Only really good for one or two nights stay and for single people - no where to put a suitcase
