“great airport stay”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

stayed at this property at my recent stop-over in HK. loved the customer service and proximity to the airport; Marriott rewards membership gets you free wi-fi; rooms were pretty standard; initially the front desk tried to give me a smoking room but quickly provided a non-smoking upon request.
IMHO this was a better choice than regal next door.

couple of tips:
food service is pretty minimal after 10:30 pm so get something before you head back to the hotel else you will be really browsing the dine-in menu to find something palatable and prices are towards the higher end

airport express is right next door so use that as primary means to get into the city- clean, efficient and punctual!

breakfast buffet is very good so make sure to get the cream and salmon omelet

Even if you miss the airport shuttle, the can door to door is only 20 HK

Room Tip: views are generic so don't get hung up on it;

been exhibiting or visiting for an expo at the asia world expo? this is the best place to stay! it is just a 2min walk from the venue and that too connected! could not get any better. true, it is way off the heart of the city but then, after a tiring day at the show, all you need to do is crash and relax!

the rooms are HUGE! very comfortable and the staff is quite efficient too. the outlet mall and few restaurants here or there only add up to the accessibility of this place. this has become our first choice of stay when we need to come to the expo.

For those who prefer a hotel away from the buzz of HK island, look no further. Marriott SkyCity is the ONE!
Been here many times now. Have made it a preferred hotel of mine whenever i visit HK every month. Great for individuals, family and business purposes.
Facilities are new and comprehensive.
F&B outlets, Quan Spa, Gym, Meeting Rooms, etc....name it, you have it.
If anyone wants better, he has to build an amusement park on its rooftop.
Executive lounge is fairly large, though may be a tad to small during peak seasons.
Complimentary shuttle service to/from airport and "neighbourhood central area" Tung Chung. Form there, MTR brings you to HK island in a flash.
Bottom line: things only get better here. Period.
Keep up the great work, GM Michael Muller and his fantastic team.

Room Tip: All rooms are good. No ifs, no buts, no whys.

For a short stop over in Hong Kong this is an excellent hotel. The airport shuttle is very convenient and easy to find in the arrival terminal area. It is only short distance to the hotel. The check in process is very convenient and you are in an exceptionally good room in just a few minutes. The amenities in the room are very good. The rooms are very large and some have nice view of water area or the golf course. The hotel restaurant facilities are very good. I recommend the evening and breakfast buffets. A great variety of food and very well prepared. The service is easy. In the morning you can get a nice table by the window and enjoy nice view will having breakfast and checking your internet. Connection back to the airport was convenient and check out convenient. Well worth the money for the services provided.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water area and on the upper floors. Very nice views.

Situated on the airport grounds, getting to/from the terminal couldn't be easier with regular free shuttles to/from the terminal buildings.

Excellent, large rooms with a good view over the lake.

As there are two terminals and the information on the shuttle is limited, make sure you know which terminal building you're travelling to before the shuttle leaves.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the club floor and get access to the lounge facilities.

Stayed here for a night after arriving in Hong Kong just after 11pm. The shuttle bus service was excellent along with the staff who were prompt to carry our bags up to our room. The rooms were spacious with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept it. I was very pleased with our quick over night stay and enjoyed the breakfast buffet spread. Would defiantly recommend staying if you are arriving in Hong Kong on a later flight.

On our way home from Phuket we had a 12 hour layover and chose this hotel based on reviews. Although not as convenient as the Regal, the room was clean with an awesome bed. Plenty of toiletries if you have forgotten them - wifi available in the room. It was about $50 more than the Regal which we stayed at on the way over. Comparing the 2 I would choose the Regal simply for location and price.
