We stayed for three days at the Sky City Marriott and we loved our experience. We cannot recommend it more highly. Our fantastic experience started at the moment we were collected by the Marriott's own shuttle bus which runs even 20 minutes to the airport. We were at the hotel in three short minutes which was ideal after a 12 hour flight. Even though we arrived seven hours before the standard check-in time of 2pm our room was ready and waiting for us and my family and I were able to catch up on some well needed sleep. The room was spacious, plush and best of all, very, very quiet.
We booked a room on the executive level in advance and we received executive lounge access. Breakfast was included and in the evenings they served hors d'oeuvres and dessert but with the huge range of food and drink available you really could eat a full meal and all included in the cost of our room - Fantastic (see photos). From the lounge you can watch the planes come into land - either from inside or on the balcony.
The staff everywhere across the hotel were friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The free hotel shuttle bus to Hong Kong Disneyland and Tung Chung (where you can connect with the cable car to the Big Buddha) made travelling around easy and it's just a 25 minute train ride into the city.
Thank you SkyCity Marriott - we will definitely be back.

Room Tip: The rooms either face the runway - where you can see the planes come into land or the mountains, wat...

The hotel is well located for the airport obviously but I was very surprised by the quality of the surroundings (9 hole golf course attached - which unfortunately could not play due to time but it looked great from my room!) and the excellent service from the porters to the room service and reception.

I would definitely stay again here as there is a free regular shuttle bus to Tung Chung (nearest MTR station) as well as to the airport (free both ways).

I was with my wife and teenage son and we all enjoyed the breakfast and clean room and facilities.

A big thumbs up all round!

Needed a bed for the 14 hours between two long flights. Service was outstanding - from the greeting at the airport, through reception, internet service etc. Wonderful bed and good quality shower (with all the amenities you don't want to unpack on a layover). Room service lunch and a good sleep and ready to go again. Day rooms are good value for money and staff could not have been more helpful or friendly.

The expected top quality Asian hotel standard you would expect - and far cheaper than down-town equivalents for those simply breaking the journey. Good MTR access for the ad hoc trip into town too. Very efficient and friendly staff - the radio-controlled breakfast staff were amazing! The only service criticism was the front desk - friendly and efficient, it was just grossly understaffed, such that a single problem caused a backup and two created unacceptably long queuing. But then the offer of a car to the airport, instead of waiting for the next shuttle bus was very welcome and indicated that staff were attuned to their customers and empowered to act.

Room Tip: Water view rooms are currently overlooking a construction site - but that is Hong Kong!

Landed at HKG airport around 5pm local time, and we had reserved this hotel near the airport since we just needed a good nights rest to get on local HKG time. Chose a package through the Marriott website that included the buffet breakfast for two adults and one of our two children (don't ask me why the Marriott website only included one child's breakfast buffet in the price). It turns out that you really want to choose this package because the breakfast buffet was excellent at the SkyCity Marriott - it was the best breakfast buffet we had in HKG during our stay.

Rooms - every two bed bedroom in HKG has two double beds rather than two queen size beds. This was fine for our family right now, but this may be an issue in 3 - 5 years for us if we travel back to HKG again. The bathroom was clean and had the general amenities that we needed. Had to ask for extra towels since we all wanted to get cleaned-up after the flight. Room was quite and had a decent view of the airport and the airport golf course.

Dining - best breakfast buffet we had in HKG. Good mix of western and asian dishes. Made to order eggs / omlettes and made to order asian boiled noodles with chosen meats. Two kinds of congee, if you like. HUGE breakfast bread selection, along with made to order pancakes, waffles, or french toast. They had a fresh juice bar - every kind of breakfast juice you could imagine including some that I had not heard of. Fresh cut fruit, cold and hot cereal bar, european cheeses / cold-cut meats / salmon / etc. It's rather pricey if you don't have it included in your room package - so be forewarned.
We also ate at this restaurant the evening we landed. The kids ate off of the childrens menu (good slider-type burger), and I had the steak sandwich. It was the best steak sandwich I had in HKG as well.

All in all I can recommend staying here. It's close to the airport, but it's not very close to anywhere else. The second day we went to HKG Disneyland and the taxi fare was around HKG$175, including our bags (around USD $25) which was pretty reasonable.

Room Tip: We had a room that was a decent walk away from the elevators ("lifts") and it was a quite...

The service is impeccable, the breakfast buffet is amazing with a congee and din sum station to die for. Shuttle every half hour to get to the underground too! The rooms are a dream with magnificent views and very modern. Everything about my week long stay was perfect and would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Hong Kong.

I've stayed at this hotel on several one night stopovers for connecting flights. I was impressed the first time I stayed with the courteous service and great breakfast buffet. For the follow-up stays, I was greeted by name at the door and escorted to my room. The free shuttle to/from the airport is a nice bonus. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This will continue to be my first choice when flying into Hong Kong for a layover before a connecting flight.
