Lavish rooms, excellent service; the hotel buffet breakfast is amazing. Right next to the MTR.

i had the opportunity to stay at the hyatt sha tin with a very large group, about 200 of us,and right from check in to check out, everything went very well. All room keys were ready on time when we checked in,rooms were spacious with all amenities.
Breakfast was excellent and catered to international travellers,as a common problem with far east hotels is that the breakfast is predominantly chinese items, which was not the case here.Huge restaurants with very efficient staff, which do not let you feel tables were short for such a large group.
The hotel was located right next to a metro and bus station, which was very convenient,as Hong Kong has several night markets and night life areas.
The best part was a courtesy coach which operated several times a day to the Tsim Sha Sui shopping district from the hotel and even gave you a transfer back to the hotel several times a day.
The whole experience of staying at this hotel was a very pleasant one.The Hyatt is a very reputed chain and they lived up to their reputation.

The Hyatt Sha tin stay was a very good experience. The rooms were super clean and well built. Mine provided an excellent view of the harbour. The staff service level was par excellence. The breakfast was well laid to choice and the metro connectivity from University station was perfect.

Explaining my rates. Really clean, and that's normal for any hotel of this category in a city of this category. Position was kinda cool...really close to public transportations which was extremely useuful for us. No matter if it was in the new territories and not close to the heart of HK, I knew already that very well when booking. Room was very stilish and well organized. Price was awesome for a Hyatt hotel, really! Staff was ok. Just had a problem at checkout when showing my Membership card of Lufthansa and they were totally not knowing what I was asking for. Maybe as there's lots of space, an indoor pool would have been appreciated as the surroundings dont have a lot to offer and for leisure guests would be a good option for making the stay smoother

This hotel cheaper than other hyatts because of the location. It is close to the train station, however, it still needs 20 mins to travel to the city centre. The buffet is impressive with quality food. Room is typical hyatt style which is always the top!

I would recommend this hotel if you are look more at the hotel stars than the location.

We booked a spacious 131 square meter Two Bedroom Executive Suite with 1 King and 2 twin beds. When we arrived we checked-in smoothly, compared to when we had to wait until 4:30 on a previous stay at this hotel. The suite was very spacious, it had a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, rice cooker, hot plate, kettle and minibar. The bedrooms were 38 square metres each with ensuite bathrooms whch had separate shower and bathtub. The bathrooms had a glass wall viewing the bedrooms with a blind that you could close. There is also an additional guest powder room. The living and dining room had a four person dining table and a two seater sofa attatched to a chaise longue. All bedrooms and the living room had 40 inch LCD TV's from Philips and a DVD player only in the living room.

The main restaurant, 'Café' -very inovative name, I know, was very large with a normal seating area and a lounge area. We had lunch there, the food was quite good. The breakfast costs HK$218 approximately US$25, there is a wide selection of international cuisine from japanese omlet to the usual bacon and eggs.

The Chinese restaurant, Shatin 18 is a very nicely decorated restaurant with a wide selection of chinese food which all taste delicious. The service in Shatin 18 is very good, the staff are polite.

The pool of the Hyatt Regency is a wonderful pool that is kept warm. There are a lot of dinning tables near pool area and there is a jacuzzi which is heated as well.

During our three night stay the suite cost US$400 per night, which is quite reasonable for a suite of its size in the city and in a hotel of this standard.

We decided to stay in the New Territories rather than in downtown Kowloon and experience the different surroundings of Sha Tin. The hotel is new, the facilities are excellent, the staff very helpful and travelling into Kowloon on the MTR proved to be very easy. The cost of this additional travel was more than offset by the price of the room which was at least half of what we would have paid for a comparable standard of hotel in Kowloon or on the Island.
