“Fantastic Experience !!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

This hotel as soon as you drive up is vision ... from the lobby ... the lifts. We got to check in from the Club Lounge (as we were staying in club rooms), just the view of Victoria Harbour from the 41st floor Club Lounge was amazing!!!! The staff in the Club Lounge (Patrick in particular) was fantastic with going through all the check-in information and making us feel special, whilst we enjoyed welcome drinks.

Our room wasn't too giant, but it was enough for two friends travelling together. The bathroom is quite specious, and the tub and shower are in a wet-room style, with a rain shower which is perfect !! The hotel amenities are also really nice, and pleasant smelling.
Order some pillows from the Pillow menu - which i highly recommend, as we slept fantastically !!

Club breakfast - order the waffles or the pancakes as they are delicious!
Club Happy Hr 6pm - 8pm is also a real treat. You can relax from a long day, before going out for the night, whilst watching the sun go down over the harbour, & all the city lights come to life.

The hotel is a block away from the MTR station, and very easy and safe to get to, and the MTR can get you anywhere, so it's in an excellent location.

Before we left we had some massages from the Spa, which was on another level -- this is a major must!! We felt like completely new people when we left, and made us extra sad to be leaving the hotel.

Also make sure to visit the pool, and just relax an enjoy the sun and the stunning pool.

Room Tip: I highly recommend the Club rooms, as the extra Club facilities and lounge make the stay extra speci...

Although the Harbour Grand is a little out of the way, we found it to be well connected by MTR, bus and tram. The hotel itself is fabulous; luxurious with high standards throughout and super staff. We paid for a club room and the use of the harbour lounge. This was worth every penny and allowed us to relax in a lounge with wonderful views of the harbour, particularly at night, from the 41st floor! Overall, it was difficult to fault and will be our hotel of choice when we return to HK

Room Tip: Upgrade to a Club room

We booked this hotel as Club Member which gives us exclusive access to the members' lounge. There are free high tea/coffee from 3-5pm and free cocktails from 6-8pm. This is my favourite treat from this hotel, as the view of the Harbour from the Members' Lounge is really awesome.

Service was great. The staff are friendly and courteous! Gary helped us on how to get to Aberdeen using public transport.

The room is still small compared to normal hotel but I think space is really limited in Hong Kong. Internet access is fine but sometimes slow. It is accessible within the hotel except in the pool) and lobby.

I really enjoyed our stay in Harbour Grand.

Room Tip: Book a room on the left side (facing the harbour) as the view there is better compared to the right...

Our family of 5 stayed in the Club Deluxe Rooms on the 39th floor throughout our stay in Hong Kong.

Location: Though a little off central HK, the hotel is easily accessible by MTR, Airport Shuttle / Hotel Shuttle bus.

Rooms : The rooms were of decent size and offered a picturesque view on parts of HK. Beds were comfy and the TV channel selection was pretty decent. Our room booking came with free wifi for 2 devices per room , breakfast and access to the Club Lounge which provided complimentary drinks , afternoon tea and canapes.

Club Lounge: The staff at the Club Lounge did a great job with service and were attentive to our needs and requests; namely Gloria, Jane, George and Patrick .It was a pity though that we missed on the afternoon teas and also canapes served daily as we were out most of the time till after 8pm. Nevertheless, drinks and alcohol were aplenty and available daily till 11pm.

Breakfast: We dined twice on the 3rd floor and once in the Club Lounge. Personally I 'd recommend dining at the Club Lounge if your prefer quality over quantity since they offer freshly brewed coffee and certain made to order food items from their menu which you won't get on the 3rd floor. Selection of food on the 3rd floor was better but the serving staff were generally less fluent in English and hence made some minor mix ups in our drink preferences which may be easily overlooked nonetheless.

All in all, I had a pleasant stay and would def return for a second visit.

Room Tip: Get the rooms on the Club Floor.

We stayed here for 4 nights from the 7th till the 11th of July in a Club room. All we have to say is that we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our visit. From Gloria & Patricks service in the club lounge, compliment beer, soft drinks & tea all day, then between 6 & 8pm free wine, spirits & cocktail's with a great selection of finger food. The room overlooked the harbour which was great to wake up to, then it was time for breakfast which was unbelievable, from lobster eggs benedict, smoked salmon, truffle on your eggs what more could you possibly want. Room was clean & modern, but the main thing about our stay was the service, from everything to the best bus route or a great local restaurant, Gloria & Patrick could not help us enough. We are already planning our return next year.

Room Tip: Club rooms are worth the extra money.

The harbour grand is a very impressive hotel with a massive lobby and fantastic gym, pool and spa facilities. The service is also excellent- anything you request will be at your room in minutes and the restaurant and bar staff are just as attentive and welcoming.
Unfortunately there are a few negatives- firstly the hotel's location- it's not in the main tourist centre of Hong Kong Island which is between causeway bay and central MTR stations. There is basically nothing for tourists within walking distance except mcdonalds and 7-11, however it is only a 5 minute walk to the MTR so this compensates a bit.
The rooms (unless you have a club room) are also on the small side. In fact, it seems unless you have a club room, you get a bit screwed over in general: breakfast is £20, unless you have a club room. If you have a club room, internet is free. If not, it's nearly £10 a day, for 2 devices. If all three of us staying in our room wanted to use all our internet enabled devices we'd be paying £30 a day (390 HKD) which is laughable. In fact, it's nearly the price of an upgrade to a club room, which incidentally is what they told us when we checked in and they asked if we wanted to upgrade...
I've stayed in 1* hostels and 5* hotels with free internet access so there is really no excuse for this.
So if you're on vacation, spend the £30 staying somewhere in a better location and with free internet. If you're on business, spend it on a club room.

Dear "jfjf k"

I firstly would like to thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us and I am glad to read that most of our facilities and services were up to your expectations.

I am sorry that you have found our Breakfast buffet was overpriced - considering the varieties of food on offer, most of our guests do find it very good value for money and other alternatives, such as A La Carte selection, are also on offer.

I also would like to inform that we do offer room packages inclusive of Free internet when booking the room directly with us or through most of the websites.

I do hope you will consider visiting us again and I would appreciate if you could contact me directly (benoith@harbourgrand.com).
