Location is great, one block away from Langham Place mall (literally across from you), few blocks away from Ladies market, loads of shops and places to eat all within walking distance (even just outside the hotel). Great BBQ goose place just a few shops down. A/C blows cold, which was great in the 30 degree and 99% humidity weather. Mongkok MTR station is only a few blocks away, easily walkable.
There are no facilities, such as gym/exercise room, etc. This is to be expected from a small hotel in HK. Not sure if they have a business centre, as I didn't check. Front desk staff were adequate in service, in that they weren't going out of their way to help you with anything, just check you in, take your money, and check you out. Not necessarily poor service, just could have been more friendly and helpful.
Steps lead up to the lobby. No lift or elevator. Easy for mobile people, but not so easy for those with big heavy luggage. I already knew this, however, but for my parents who are seniors, they would not have been able to bring up their own luggage.
It is a small hotel. There were only 3 room on our floor, and I would assume the same for the rest of the floors. We were on the 10 floor, which was great, as we could see Langham place from our room. You will still hear street noise though (ear plugs are your friend hehe). The room itself is basic. We got a family room (1 queen/double bed and 1 twin). Decent sized room. Enough space to put 3 big luggage and 3 small carry-on sized bags.
Bathroom is decent. Toilet seat wasn't of proper size, so it didn't really cover the full toilet rim. Shower stall is a good size but there is no curtain or sliding door to close, just a half wall, so some water will spill out. Not a big deal, as there is drainage for the water. Enough hot water for long showers. Usual moldy corners, edges and caulking, not too bad though. Toilet could have been cleaner, but not gross.
Bedding wasn't changed during our stay, but we were only there for 3 days. Bed are stiff.
We didn't get towels our first night there, and just used our own. The next few days we were given towels, which are individually wrapped and sealed in plastic. First time I saw this, and it does give you a sense of clean towels. So you do get full sized towels and hand towels, just no face cloths.
I'm not sure if they have any non-smoking rooms, as our room had ash trays and matches, which would indicate you are allowed to smoke in the room. However our room didn't smell of cigarettes, so we may have been lucky in that our room wasn't smoked in previous bookings to ours.
They required a HKD$500 deposit, which is returned to you when you check out. Not a big deal, as we had the money, but something you will want to budget for. We had spent all our money and used the $500 deposit for our cab ride to the airport.
