First of all, a hotel cannot be located in better place. It is surrounded by many famous restaurants, shopping streets, and attractions. It is also very close to central station D2 exit.
However, I would rather recommend all of you to walk more from other hotels. This hotel (I am not sure if it should even be called hotel) is one of the most awful experiences that haunts my Hong kong experience.
First things first. I am not a type of person who complains about dirty toilets, uncomfortable beds, or small sized room in a hotel where I pay small amount of money. So my comments are all based on the money's worth. I payed 1000~1500 HK dollars differing from rates during my stay. This amount of money is enough to spend a night in "real hotels".
There are reasons why I call mingle place not a hotel. First, there are only lobby and rooms. No restaurant, no pool, or no anything to what you think there should be in hotel. The ground floor is made of lobby that is small as a rat house that people literally have to "mingle"! The first floor to fourth floor is consisted with only rooms. The hotel was making a awful noise during morning and afternoon since it was renovating fifth floor. (I can see their business manners not to forewarn about this or provide any discount). Right next to mingle place at eden, there is a bar called mingle bar. All of you who will stay at the hotel, beware that the bar "randomly makes noise all night long". On friday when I stayed, the party was on fire from afternoon all the way to 5 AM. The noise was so intense that I coudn't sleep. I complained the lobby that I have walked all day sightseeing, and that I have paid hotel [--] amount of money to sleep, not to listen to club musics and drunken British scums to scream like idiots. All the lobby said was that they can't do anything about it and they are sorry. Isn't it a responsibility for a hotel to protect it's customers to sleep? Is it hotel if I cannot sleep in the place? If you disagree, you can choose this place.
Extra complaints. moss in the toilet, no hair dry, no soap (only body wash), no refridg, no laundry room or service. Oh, and you cannot open a window. (May be the hotel worried that people will kill themselves after a bad night in the room). Don't go here and save yourself.
