As much as I wanted to get away from this place I can't help feeling a little fond of it. Would we return?, unlikely. The rooms are tastefully basic and small. It's true that the beds are small and hard; however, the bedclothes are nice and soft.
It's all a bit rough around the edges. The restaurant was okay. The buffet was fair enough for 300 each. The staff were okay and the atmosphere is genuinely sympathetic to where you are. Frankly speaking, the thought of a load of plastic animals in a tasteful garden didn't appeal to any of us. Go and see.

Very slow check in, rock hard beds that are extremely uncomfortable, and you woke up sore. Unfriendly service, worst facilities ive ever seen. Dirty really dirty. Breakfast was revolting, we went out for breakfast, as it was unhygienic. I've stayed in much better backpackers hostels than this. Oh and sun comes in around 530am as no block out on upper windows. Worst hotel I've ever been to. 0 stars would be appropriate.

Room Tip: Unhelpful refused to ring taxi and ignorant staff

From HKIA, we took the bus to Ma Wan Island. Just follow the direction printed on their website. There were 3 adults and 5 children, and we chose the bunk bed for 8 persons in one room (2 bathroom inside). Kids loved it! We didnt have time to play at Noah's Ark, since we would go to Disneyland the next morning. Instead kids played at the beach. We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant, next to Oma's Kitchen. The food was good, the owner was friendly. There is a supermarket, less than 10 min walk, also convenience store (aldy open at early morning). The next morning, we had breakfast at Harvest Restaurant. Not many choices but good enough. You are facing the sea. Very eye freshening. Then off we went to Disney. Dont have a chance to enjoy the park, perhaps next visit.

After our sad stay at a hotel in central Hong Kong, we transferred to Noah's Ark Resort which is accessible from the central city by MTR (train) then by bus. Transportation fare is reasonable. The hotel may not be within the city, it is however just several minutes away from the airport and Disneyland taking the bus.

Upon getting to the gate, everyone, especially my grand kids were so impressed and excited. The hotel shaped like an ark, was located inside a theme park. The beach was just a few steps away from the entrance.

Upon entering our room, we felt so amazed at how spacious it was (compared to the last hotel we've been); the kids were so delighted to try all the beds, there was so many for everyone (we booked the dormitory type).

There were 2 rooms for the toilet and bath. Our family of 4 adults and 2 kids could take a shower all at the same time. There was hot and cold shower all throughout the day, bath gel, conditioner, tissue paper was extravagantly provided. Our room had a table where we could dine or have coffee. The terrace overlooked the river. It was really a sight.

We found ourselves in a very exclusive island; it seemed there were few people living in the area. The place was quiet, peaceful and looked safe. We explored the area and found out there were no banks or ATMs or money changers. There was a pier nearby and a supermarket where you could find most of the things you would need during your stay.

They served breakfast buffet for hotel guests and food was delicious.

The hotel staff who received us though was not that charming and pleasing. But in general, I would say, you'd get your money's worth at this hotel.

Room Tip: if traveling as a group, book the dorm type rooms
