My wife and I stayed at the T Hotel for a week during January 2013 and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel.

We stayed in room 610 which was a very nice room which had a great view out over the bay below. However, while the hotel overall was very quiet the room itself could have quite a lot of noise intrusion. This was coming from the level above and not directly attributable to the hotel. while this was not a problem for us but it could be for someone who is a light sleeper.

The staff at the hotel are students and it is important to keep this in mind when booking. In this respect the service recieved will be directly related to the experience the students have. We enjoyed interacting with the students and found every one of them to be pleasant and extremely helpful.

Breakfast is very good with lots of choice. We also had dinner in the hotel twice and it was also good.

Getting to and from the hotel is very simple. From the airport there are a number of options including taxi, bus or train. We travelled by the Airport Express train to Hong Kong Central. Then by taxi to the hotel. Total travel time was about 35 minutes.

Travelling around from the hotel is also easy. There is a bus stop at the entrance to the complex and there are frequent buses.. The hotel staff will also call a taxi if required. Likewise returning to the hotel is simple. The cost of a bus to Hong Kong Central is around £0.50. While The same trip in a taxi is around £5.00.

We would recommend the T Hotel.

Amazing,we got picked up by hotel taxi, well worth it.It just kept getting better, room was large, brilliant design with great views, food was excellent and so cheap,£40 for two including wine.Tremendous breakfast, great gym which was needed and free shuttle into the centre each morning. The trainees tried really hard all the time and so many of them, but always well managed. It was a real pleasure to stay here and nothing was too much.If you are in Hing Kong you will not get better.

Each night was charged at HK$1130 (GBP92, US$146) while we stayed over Christmas, perhaps the price differs when not Christmas; From Central station in a taxi it costs HK$60 (GBP5, US$8) or $5 per person by bus (of which there are many). Upon booking, you get a easy-to-read bus and route guide. Check-in was easy and staff we eager to help us find all the attractions and things to do in Hong Kong. Since it's a training hotel, there was a manager stood nearby to help in case the trainees couldn't help with a request.

When you go to your room, the trainees give you a small ""tour"" around the room - ours lasted for over 5 minutes which, although it was nice they were wanting to 'show off' the great amenities, we were left thinking 'hurry up, all I want to do is lie down'. The rooms are really big with a whole desk/work area and a nice day bed by the window. Big TV, massive comfy bed, large bathroom with powerful hot shower. Fancy 'electric smart glass' between bedroom and bathroom which turns from regular glass to opaque when you flick the switch. Nice big bath with TV also in bathroom.

Every night they came and left us some treats by the bed - since our visit was over Christmas we had mince pies and Santa cookies - really nice idea. Curtains drawn, slippers laid out by each bedside and the covers pulled back slightly. Breakfast was tasty but the selection only average. Views out over the China sea were really nice to wake up to each morning.

All the staff during our stay were incredibly eager to please, but I'd say it was definitely "American-style" service, with constant "Hello, how are you, Merry Christmas, are you enjoying your stay, is everything OK, anything I can do?" This was nice but sometimes a little 'too much'. We'd definitely stay again and would say don't let the comments about 'being miles away' put you off, it's not - there were no traffic jams, taxis and buses are cheap and frequent. Thanks you T Hotel Team for a lovely Christmas 2012.

We loved the T-Hotel. The hotel was very easy to get to from the airport with a half-hourly direct bus route which goes door to door stopping right opposite the hotel. Getting into the main bit of Hong Kong is easy too, taxis are plentiful and buses go every couple of minutes.

Everything about the hotel is 5 star apart from the prices. The restaurant is great quality and very reasonably priced.

Remember when you go that this hotel is entirely staffed by students who are learning their trade. Bear this in mind during any communication problems or if processes take a bit longer than you would normally expect ie checking in/out, requesting services.

The staff and students are very friendly and helpful and it was a fantastic experience for both the luxury and the pocket staying here

We stayed at T hotel for three days, enough time for us to discover the beautiful city. Our room was incredibly geat, we could get the great view to the sea from our room. We extremely enjoyed the loungue bar, it was really lovely and great atmosphere. Staffs were incredibly helpful and trendy with great English skills. Need some minutes to the city center, but the staffs would reserve for a taxi.

The T Hotel exceed all of our expectations. We really enjoyed our time at the THotel and will definitely return. The rooms we lovely - spacious, excellent view over the bay, tastefully decorated and thoroughly cleaned. Although the location is a little out of the way it was never a problem as buses were at the doorstep and taxis are so cheap to get around Hong Kong. We did have to explain where the hotel was to taxi drivers when coming home so it helps to take the map that reception give to you along at all times. As the staff are in training we did have to be a little bit patient as their English was not so strong. However, they were very eager to please and a 'teacher' was never far away. I don't think you'd find such amazing rooms and 5 star service anywhere else in Hong Kong for this price.

Just a little tip - on level 8 is a Chinese training restaurant that serves traditional food. It was open on the Friday night for a degustation style dinner. We went along and whilst we can appreciate that this is something special in Hong Kong some of the dishes did not appeal to us. I understand that some of the dishes are considered to be a delicacy. However they aren't for the faint hearted. So perhaps check the menu for that evening if you are considering dining there.

We travel to England on a regular basis and now plan to make the T Hotel in Hong Kong our regular stopover spot. It was definitely excellent value for money.

We travelled to Hong Kong with 15months old baby. The facilities of the t hotel able to us enjoy our trip. They provided room with plenty of space. so, our son freely walk around the room. They also provide nice comfortable cot with cute Peter rabbit linen. Furthmore, by having affordable room services we could use facilities to enjoy our meal when our child is miss behaving. This was blessing after spending the whole day walking and exploring Hong Kong. Whilst other hotel offers room service this is normally too expensive too be realistic option for young family.

The location is slightly difficult to find. However, with google street view assisting us, we are able to find the hotel eventually. It shouldn't be bad idea to check google street view before going. As the t hotel is school, there is no big sign out the front and many taxi driver did not know where it was.
I suggest management put up sign (even small size) to assist future visitors.

We could see the passion of students and teachers. This was greatly appreciated as we had lots of child related requests - high chair, stroller, cot and lots of luggage.

The view of the ocean from our room was fantastic. Breakfast was also a delight as there was plenty do food without being too crowded. As service is provided by student it can be a bit slow on occasion - omelet making and room service. However this is more than made up for by the passion of the students and high quality of product. We would stay again when in Hong Kong.
