“Best Hotel in Hong Kong”
Reviewed 28 November 2011

Just stayed there over the weekend. Some people complained that the wall is paper-thin, yet I didn't find it to be a problem. My room was very quiet and the bed, very comfortable. The room is also spacious and luxurious. wifi internet (free) is also very fast and reliable.
Anyone who stays there must use the pool located on the 118th (which is the highest in the world), the out-door jacuzzi offers an amazing view of the city, which is better than the crowded and noisy O-zone on the other side of the 118th floor.
The breakfast is also impressive. There were wide array of choices of food and they are all delicious. Be sure to get there earlier, so you can get the window seats, which gives you a bird's eye view of the city.
In my opinion, the new Ritz now tops Four Seasons and the Peninsula, which I also stayed earlier this year. However, its Italian Restaurant, Tosca, is expensive, but not as good as many other fine choices in town, such as Amber or 8 1/2 Otto.

Hotel location is good, close to ICC and good place for shopping. High floor, ocean view. Fantastic.

The Ritz-Carlton HK at the ICC offers exclusivity in the world's highest hotel. The Club rooms from floor 108(!) gives you access to the Club Lounge 24/7. It offers a host of canape style foods with a decent selection of drinks and hot beverages. The staff are very attentive and polite. The Spa is worth a visit and if you're looking for a trendy, fashionable bar lounge with a good selection of food and drinks and a live DJ and a bar lounge that offer spectacular views then look no further then the Ozone - also based at the hotel!

Room Tip: Pay extra for Club Harbour View room

Very fancy. We were there for 1 night only. And what a great night!! The view from the room was really stunning!! Nice big bath tub. There is a mall next to the hotel where you can get to it from inside the hotel. Staff are very helpful.

Stayed for 8 nights at the Ritz Carlton HK for a business trip and it was fantastic. I'm personally not a fan of Kowloon side but most of my meetings were at the ICC. Beautiful hotel, fantastic room (my room on was the 108th floor), love the decor and design. Rooftop bar was fantastic (apparently highest bar in the world).

Directly connected to the MTR and ICC where there's plenty of shopping and restaurants. For someone visiting HK for the first time for pleasure, you should stay in the HK side and not Kowloon. For business travelers, especially those meeting / working at ICC, this one is a no-brainer.

Great hotel!

Room Tip: As high as possible! All the rooms are top-notch, quite frankly.

Ritz Carlton is hotel which opened in May in HK. Location is fabulous, with spectacular views of the sky line of HK.
It still has some teasing problems.
Some of them will be solved, some are impossible.
I assume the architect of the beautiful and spectacular very tall building didn't design a hotel b4. Why only 4 elevators to go up with limited capacity so waiting time is long.
On top the elevators are built to confuse.
And work not very well with the roomkey.

Finding your way in this hotel to the restaurants is also complicated. Everything is located at different floors and directions.
Business centre is impossible to find, no directions wherever. Hidden somewhere, in a corner, plus again in different part of the hotel.

Rooftop Gym is spectacular and great machines. Pool same!! Highest indoor pool in the world?

Restaurants are fine, food not extraordinary.
Service is ok, but few staff are not very fluent in English.

Rooms are fine, bed super, comfortable including Ipod, Nespresso machine etc.

The hotel is situated between floors 103 (Check-in) and 118 (Fitness / Spa & Ozone Club). The lift up to 103 is ultra quick and smooth. You know you're moving quick due to constant ear popping.
My only criticism could be negotiating the changing of lifts depending whether you go to the Spa, Club or your room and having to use your room keycard to operate the lift - security shouldn't be the guests problem.
I expected more from the Spa, but when you consider the logistics of building it on the 118th floor, I should really shut up. My highlight has to be sitting on the open roof terrace in mist and rain - soaking in the hot tub and occassionally getting a view of HK through the clouds - what a great way to wake up.
Spent the evening in the Ozone club - WOW WOW WOW. Service and food was fantastic.
Breakfast room is also great with the food matching the view.
Would I stay for a week - no, I think there are better all round hotels out there but for the wow factor 1 or 2 nights is a must when in HK.
