“High Ambitions”
Reviewed 27 February 2013

The RC in Hong Kong is between the 102nd and 118th floor of a new building more or less atop a mall and Kowloon station of the airport express. This guarantees a room with a view, and views are the most remarkable item this hotel has. Regardless which side, the views from this high up are fantastic, though moisture and smog take a little sharpness out. Also, Hong Kong has frequently fog, but as with all weather related topics a little luck is needed.
The service is impeccable, but that was to be expected from a hotel in this price range. The
rooms are very elegant and very quiet. The hotel offers several eateries, we tried the chinese restaurant (excellent) and the lounge and bar (average) as well as the Ozone, the bar on top of the hotel. In the later expect noisy techno tunes and only a few seats have good view. The drink quality is good but also quite expensive.
I would recommend this hotel to people who actually have some time to enjoy the views and facilities. It seems a waste to me for the business crowds, who check in at 9pm and leave by 8am in the morning. It is a little far away from the shopping and tourist attractions but a subway station is also in the same complex and taking a cab in downtown Hong Kong is just a few bucks anyway.

Room Tip: Try to get an upgrade to a corner room, larger and with a great viewing area.

I went to have dinner at Cafe 103 at the Ritz-Carlton the other night and I was stunned by every aspect. The view from the hotel is gorgeous (if the weather allows it ofcourse). I wanted to have a nice buffet dinner and I really enjoyed the view from my window seat that over looked the Hong Kong Island. The food is great and there is alot of variety with an incredible dessert selection. The staff there was very friendly and took care of all my needs. Cafe 103 is definitely a must if you are looking for a good buffet with THE view!

Very nice hotel. Stayed 4 nights. Never been to HK so it was a good start. On the newer side so things are fresh. The pool is on the top floor(118) very nice, hot tub is outside, very cool. The daily breakfast is what you would expect from the Ritz- solid!
only complaints- no ESPN even though they tell you there is. Don't be fooled, its Fox sports net and who the hell watches that. Last I checked, they don't have a sports center. Also the steam room was out of order in the mens locker room, kind of a bummer as I like a nice steam after a swim.
Location is very nice, Its literally on top of the kowloon station. Airport express dumps you rite there. Easy commute to central via the subway and about a 15 minute walk to china ferry terminal to goto Macau or central.

Room Tip: Any view will do, don't pay more for victoria harbor view as the pollution is so horrid, smog bl...

My wife and I were taken to this hotel for after dinner drinks one night last month by a good friend from Hong Kong while visiting this city. To start you have to take two elevators to reach the 118th floor where the OZONE bar is located, making it the highest bar in the world.

When we arrived at the bar we went to the outdoor terrace where we ordered drinks. It truly is an amazing view from that vantage point. The entire Hong Kong skyline is visible as well as the harbor below you. The drinks came and they were really great also. After a while sightseeing from this height we left and took the first elevator down to the Lobby area which is on the 103rd floor. Before we got on the next elevator to go to the ground floor our friend showed us the Jewelry shop located on this level. It was the British brand shop, Graff Diamonds. This too was wonderful, showing many exquisite pieces in their display window.

It had turned out to be a wonderful visit and a new adventure.

My husband and I checked in for a weekend escapade and it was one of the best things we did since moving to HK. The views from all areas of the hotel are fantastic. Breakfast overlooking Victoria Harbour, and even at the pool on the 118th floor and spa we could enjoy the views.

We stayed in a Club room and had access to the lounge which served food and drinks AND fine champagne throughout the day. Such a treat. The staff, or ladies and gentlemen as they are known are all friendly, enthusiastic and sincere about wanting to make our stay special. We even had stationery printed with our names on it!!

A visit to the spa is a MUST. The basic Swedish massage got enhanced with hotstones which worked miracles on my knotted shoulders. Therapist Rishu has magic hands!!

We topped off our little honeymoon with dinner at Tosca - named after Giacomo Puccini's famous opera was perfect. Server Johnny even offered us each a glass of his favourite dessert wine with compliments.

One final recommendation is for a nightcap at Ozone. The rooftop bar of the tallest hotel in the world. Cheers to the high life!

Checked out today from The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, definitely one of the best hotels I have ever been in. I had a room on the club level, service was there was amazing... The staff remember your presences, are always looking for ways to help. We went for dinner once in the Chinese restaurant and it was excellent. Lunch was at the restaurant at floor 103, as well excellent.

Wherever you went in the hotel, people treat you by your name. The view is stunning, the rooms are huge, and the hotel looks brand new and clean!

Definitely coming back, thank you for a great stay!
