“Higher than Victoria's Peak, Higher than Everything”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

That's what they say, highest bar in the world, highest hotel in Hong Kong, highest pool, and it's all true. Look, it's a Ritz-Carlton, but not in the generic, one taste fits all way, at least not the common areas. It has a great spot. The rooms are small and generic Ritz Carlton, but the rest makes it seem almost…unique, no that's not it..not a chain?..no, but not a Ritz Carlton. Of course they are unfailingly polite. But don't ask them for hotel reservations, since you will be sent to the most expensive places, some of which may be in a mall. Oh, and did we mention, you will be sitting atop the ICC, one of the newest, most generic malls ever? Sitting atop Kowloon station, too, so you can take the mod train to the airport for fun, since the taxi takes the same amount of time. If you are going to stay in Kowloon, and cost is not the issue, then this is the one. But don't be cynical. It's just that Hong Kong is a bit unimaginative. And you will have to embrace that, or be chasing your tail to find what's left of anything old. Look at the old photos. Then the logos atop the high rises. Have fun, but don't try to find anything authentic. It is leading the race to the bottom of all those cities which just want to sell more Chanel. And hey, at least it's better than Beijing.

Room Tip: Face Central or look at the view that nobody else wants.

What a truly unique stay on top of the world! This hotel is really beautiful and in a great location. It is a bit difficult to navigate around the hotel area given recent construction but once completed this hotel will be in the heart of the latest buildings in the kowloon part of Hong Kong. This hotel does not leave anything to be desired and the rooms are uniquely and beautifully decorated. The staff makes an effort to get to know your needs and remembers your name throughout your stay creating a personal experience. Be prepared for long elevator rides to the lobby, its part of the experience but can be challenging if you forget something in your room.

My cousin and I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 days this past February 2014. The hotel, the staff and everything about our experience was perfect from start to finish. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Mrs. Janita, who took us on a tour of this remarkable home away from home. This building is beautiful, with spectacular views that we enjoyed from our room on the 109th floor. We also had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Fei at the club level for breakfast on our first day there. Both Janita and Fei went above and beyond to field any questions my cousin and I had about "where to go?" or "what to see?" The entire staff at the Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong is superb. I will stay there again the next time I visit Hong Kong.

Stayed there for about 5 days last November 2013 with my family. 2 kids ages 14 and 11yrs. old. The Hotel was located at the 102st floor in HK's tallest building. A landmark in itself. The view was beautiful and excellent. The interiors grand. Have to say the elevator from the 9th floor to the lobby at the 101st floor was quite fast and comfortable. Located at the Elements mall, a high-end mall with its own ice skating rink, movie houses, fast food (mcdonalds, starbucks, etc.) and supermarket but without the usual big crowds. It has the best pool ever with unrivalled view at the top of the hotel and excellent service. Only down side are the restaurants, a bit pricey and not that extra-ordinary for the price u pay... but still worth it ... should be in anyone's wish list ....

Very good hotel from a view & facilities perspective. But indeed outstanding on the staff's willingness to go out of their way to help the guests. I managed to catch my flight (after having to come back from the airport since I had forgotten my passport at the hotel) only because of the concierge's contacts with the airlines. Further, the staff couriered my id card international after i had left it in the hotel while in a hurry ! A real pleasure to work with such service-minded staff.

I'm at the RC in Hong Kong now and I can't believe the view I have from the 110 floor, this is by far one of the best hotel I have been or stay at. They have a bar on the 118 the floor which looks into the Harbor and I love it. Service is one of the best in the world, they do everything right! I been here for two days and everyone seems to know me by name. I can't wait to bring my wife here and have her try the spa because I had one of the best treatments ever!! I'll be back next month and I'm bring her along just so she can experience everything I did! The Best!!

I stayed at the Ritz Carlton HK many times and I have to say the room service is the best I've ever experienced. Try the club sandwich. The pool is wonderful with an incredible view of the Bank of China building.
