great for people watching, captures the essence of Hong Kong nightlife as do the toilets at the rear. Food not to be taken lightly....the full english breakfast will make further eating in the same day challenging.

Nice place to have a drink... all along the day especially during week end as it is open almost 24 hours a day.
They have tv on walls so that you can enjoy your favorite english soccer game as it his not crowded like some others bars with very loud music.
The staff is very friendly and very fast
For the food , dont expect to have great food, its only pub food.

During a heavy rain downpour, we took a break from the rain and had a beer. Honestly, this must be the nastiest bar in Hong Kong.

Dirty, leaking roof and just unpleasant! So bad I'm compelled to warn other travellers!

If you want a nice spot to go out and drink, try Wyndham Street and D'Aguilar Street on Hong Kong Island near Central Station or Knutsford Terrace.

Spent a lot of time in Hong Kong as a young man and started many a night here. Dinner and a pint before heading out. Did the same thing this time only with a wife and son in tow
The pub has changed as has the area, but not that much. Good efficient service, a couple of very acceptable pints and good pub food. Everything I remembered

Lockhard street was a blast in years past, but perhaps is not the best place to take a teenage boy. Although he did comment that a couple of the young ladies sitting outside the clubs were very attractive, which earned me a not so attractive look from my lovely wife.

Visited this place with members of the family for lunch one Tuesday. The fact that all nearby pubs were rammed full and the OCH was nearly empty should have rung alarm bells but we decided to go for it. After all the OCH had been around for years yes ??
The food.... What could possibly go wrong with a good old 'Full English' ? Well, from the half inch of grease on which everything floated to the undercooked sausages to the fattiest bacon ever seen the dish was a disaster. 80% of it went back, the baked beans only being acceptable.

Visit the OCH in the evening and one might be seduced by the 'Old Wanchai' atmosphere as well as by the one of the numerous local hookers plying their trade . Go during the day however and on closer scrutiny one realises that the whole place is filthy. Dust and grease on objects placed as ornamental attractions looks to have been there for years.
Previous posters have mentioned the Rest Room facilities. As a bloke who has been around the block a few times and recognizes local variations in what is and what is not acceptable, I would say that this place is near the bottom if the heap. One has to trip over beer barrels to get to the gents and having negotiated the obstructions one is then assailed by the most disgusting smells and sights.
My daughter refused to use the ladies facilities, preferring to utilize those at the White Stag up the road which by that time had quietened down.
A waste if money and more importantly a health hazard which should be investigated by the HK authorities .
Don't go there !
