“Great hotel, good value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2012

Stayed here for three nights with with my boyfriend on our trip in Asia. Had booked a luxury king, but got upgraded to a business suite on the top floor. Definitely a good priced hotel for Hong Kong. Nice breakfast and very friendly staff - they helped us with maps and bookings. We also liked that this hotel had a gym. Clean and modern rooms. Can highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for a three day business meeting held at our HK office which was just walking distance from the venue. Great location since it's walking distance to the shopping centers around Sheung Wan. Free breakfast too so we didn't have to rush in the morning to get our breakfast. Just make sure to be down by the lobby before 8am as it gets crowded and you could have to wait for a table. One thing though, the water is either hot or cold. We tried balancing the temperature but we couldn't get the right temperature we want. So we had to take a bath with hot water and just turn it off afterwards. This could be a problem to some because the airconditioning in the room is really cold.

Will definitely try this hotel when coming back to Hong Kong with my Husband.

Hotel LBP was everything i expected based on few reviews. The rooms were clean, the lift was fast, the people were nice, the value is worth it. The location was good. Walking distance from tram, bus line and just a 3-5 minute ride from train lines.

A few blocks from the hotel is a wide range of bars where mostly westerners hang out. I forgot the area, t'was where the roads are very steep.

The only downside was that the breakfast was so-so. But hey, when in Hong Kong, why would you stay and eat in a hotel.

Definitely one of my favorite hotels.

Room Tip: stayed at 1904, the room was surrounded with tall buildings but it was quite a nice view. I'll u...

The hotel is nice, good location close to Sheung Wan. You can find a lot of places to eat nearby, also a supermarket can be found very close.
You can not miss the hotel, as it is a big blue building, written Hotel LBP on it.
We booked a business suite and were upgraded to a business platinum suite. It was basically a small apartment, decent size for a HK hotel. The sitting area has a small coach, but good enough fot watching TV. The room itself (without the sitting area) is around 15 square meters.
Be careful as the bathroom has a glass door.
The breakfast was good, with good choices, eggs, cereals, milk, coffee, croissants, cheese etc... The only downside was the small place to eat, just a few tables (around 5 as I remember) and a small terrace with 2 tables. It usually gets crowded, so make sure you woke up early.
I would recommend for sure Hotel LBP to everyone travelling to HK.
I have stayed many time in HK and the hotels use to be very expensive, small and without breakfast, but Hotel LBP is good quality for the money.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel LBP. The staff are very friendly and helpful with every interaction. First off the location is excellent. There are restaurants dotted around the area so the lack of hotel restaurant shouldn't be an issue. The bus stop to and from the airport (A11) is a 5-10 minute walk and only costs $40 for a single journey which saves hassle and money. The MTR station is a 10 minute walk away, the neighbourhood is safe and bustling at all times with good places to eat. It's also a 10-15 minute walk away from the Macau ferry terminal when we did a day trip there.

We stayed on the 18th floor and although we didn't get views overlooking the harbour we could see the huge buildings with the peak in the background which was great. We were upgraded to an executive room which includes a living area with a sofa - we mostly slept when in the room so we didn't get to fully utilise it. The furnishings and fittings were top notch and we didn't notice anything wrong with the room. The safe did not work on arrival but we told the front desk on the way out and returned to a working safe with a personalised note letting us know this was done.

Breakfast was great - there is a balcony outside with additional seating and if you struggle to find a place to sit you can pick up all you need and bring it back to your room without any problems. The breakfast consists of meats, pancakes, muffins, cereal, fruits, yoghurt, toast, fruit juices and hot drinks.

On our final day we left our bags at reception where they gave us a ticket so we could come back and pick up our baggage for our journey home. Like I said earlier we walked 5 minutes to the A11 bus stop and were at the airport in 30-40 minutes on a Saturday afternoon.

I'll definitely stay here again if I was to stay in Hong Kong again.

Room Tip: Ask for a floor on one of the higher floors to avoid road noise from Queens Road.

Rooms were very modern and clean (they are small but that's just Hong Kong), the staff were very helpful and efficient and the hotel is very close to a train station (MTR).

The building is big and blue so you can't miss it.

Only downside is the lack of a restaurant in the hotel but there are heaps nearby so it wasn't a problem for us.

Room Tip: There are views of buildings on either side so you should try and get a room higher up.

I stay there in early Nov2012 for fews nights. I must mention 1st, all the staff there are great! They always carry smile & greet you nicely. All happy to help me with extra effort, even i ask some stupid question/help. And Carol & Carrie (if i remember their name right) at the reception are one of the best hotel staff i was served ever. Good job for all! Carry on!
For a boutique hotel, it is nice & clean, And room size is great, as i know HK most hotel room usually very small. Only location & the look of hotel entrance are so-so.
