We stayed for two nights and were very surprised to find such a quality service and neat hotel at this price. Nice comfy room with roomy shower, AC, neat and clean. Staff really helpful and the breakfast buffet was complete, offering western and eastern treats. Simply a great stay

The Hotel is Good. Its consider big compare to other hotels in Hong Kong. Clean, good customer service. Its convenience if you travel with MTR. And there are free shuttle bus from Hong Kong station if you are taking airport express.
As this is more to office area, all shops are close up around 7pm. Day time is very happening, you can easily find restaurant at this area.
opposite of 7-eleven. Its walking distance to central

After having stayed in Wanchai, this place was a little dispppointing.. the reason we chose this place is because we thought it would be lively considering it is "Central". But the area around this hotel gets very gloomy and isolated post 7. there are not many food options, except for Mc Donalds (whih does not serve vegetarian).. the staff is not very helpful when it came to giving directions.. and rooms even as per hongkong standard are quite tiny..even the MTR is a good walk away..The shortcut to LKF (one of the other reasons why we chose this hotel) is actually quite deserted so you have to take a cab there..

Incase you are making a work trip then this place is not a bad choice but think twice if you are on a pleasure trip.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed here from 26-28 June in two connecting rooms and were extremely impressed with the hotel. The request for connecting rooms was not a problem and was confirmed without hesitation at check-in (unlike so many other hotels).

The rooms themselves (and the whole hotel) were clean and modern and for Hong Kong the rooms were actually of a good size.

For only USD120/night for each room - including breakfast - it represents excellent value for Hong Kong. The breakfast itself was very good given the price but get there early as it gets very busy.

The hotel is in a good location and only 5 minutes walk from the MRT. There are a good number of restaurants nearby

Room Tip: Ask for a higher level harbour view room as the views are pretty good.

Good downtown location, under 10 minutes' walk from Tsuen Wan MTR and airport bus stop, around a quarter hour on foot to Central and Hong Kong MTR. Decent local eatery (Dim Sum Square) around the corner.
Clean, moderate-size room, basic amenities, with some of the higher-floor rooms overlooking the river. Room windows don't open. Free WiFi, sometimes somewhat slow.
Front desk staff responding in an offhand manner without even looking up at you, seemingly busy with other things.

Stayed here for three nights during a stop over and was very surprised. A fantastic welcome at reception upon arrival and found the reception staff to be helpful at all times. Room was small, but bigger than expected (been told that the rooms in HK are tiny) and very clean plus close to the MRT - just have a good look at the map or you could find yourself with a bit of a walk if you get lost ! Walking distance to Mid Levels where you can get a great meal or foot massage. Check out was quick and efficient and taxi was waiting as asked for at reception. Overall a great budget option in a great location. Bed was outstanding.

Hong Kong is one of those cities with outrageous hotel prices and tiny rooms. This Holiday Inn Express is very reasonably priced for Hong Kong (make sure you book early though) and follows the usual chain template of room, bathroom and hotel location.

Location is excellent on Hong Kong Island, MTR is just a 5-7 mins walk away and is a 20 mins walk to IFC. There is a popular dim sum restaurant just a few doors down and many cafes and eateries just a short walk away. If you use the Airport Express to get to/from the airport the hotel transfer bus stop is just around the corner, so convenient. Lots of banks and a supermarket and 7eleven close by.

View is not too great even from the higher floors due to all the other high rise buildings but their lights do look pretty at night. Room is large for Hong Kong, we managed to have 2 large suitcases open and were able to move around easily. There is an empty fridge in the room, great to store drinks inside. Bed is on the harder side but still able to fall asleep and 2 choices of pillow firmness. Shower pressure is excellent, there is not much bathroom bench space and an interesting design with the dual purpose shower/bathroom door. Room was cleaned very well every day.

Free wifi, was sometimes intermittent around 11pm - midnight but otherwise was good. Newish TV with quite a few english channels. Our channels suddenly stopped working and hotel staff were very promot in coming to our room to restart it.

On the 3rd floor there is 2 coin operated washing machine and dryers. You will need to purchase the tokens from reception. I think the hotel housekeeping also use these at night, they are quite popular so if you do need to use them highly suggest you sit there and wait instead of going back to your room and coming down to check.

Give breakfast a miss, really over crowded space and was extremely tasteless. A few cafes max of 2 mins walk away to eat at and have excellent coffee instead. I know breakfast is included/free but you couldn't even pay me to sit amongst the other loud rude visitors and eat tasteless food.

For the price it is a great hotel especially in Hong Kong, staff are friendly and helpful. The wait for a lift can be awhile and the constant stopping was really annoying as we were at a higher floor. Some of the other hotel guests can be quite rude but not the hotel's fault.

TIPS
- sign up as a IHG member as fingers crossed you may be able to get a late check out if available
- use the Airport Express and Hotel Shuttle bus to get to/from airport, really convenient (esp check in)
- don't eat breakfast, instead try Brews Bros (Hillier St) and Cupping Room (Cleverley St)
- if you are there for quite a few days and plan to use public transport pick up an Oyster card as it is much more convenient and you can return it and get part of the card cost and your balance back
- if you are purchasing water etc, head to the Wellcome supermarket on Queen's Road Central
- foot massage place on Queen's Road Central (opposite Wellcome supermarket) to ease your sore feet after walking all day
