Do not have convenient public transportation around. Room is small, but relatively clean and tidy. I didn't seen any good service during my stay. The girl at the reception seems not very friendly to us. The price was not expensive, but I don't think the value is good either.

Room is spacious for HK standard and location is great (nearby some shopping venues). However I was there for a trade fair in HK Trade Centre so it wasn't exactly in the neighbourhood.

Despite a slightly out-of-the-way location, Traders (part of the Shangri La Group) isn't a bad hotel at all...but it could be so much better with a little effort. From the minute we walked into the first floor reception on arrival, it was clear that the staff had been briefed to get us to upgrade our room first, with thoughts for our well-being coming second despite us being at the end of a VERY long journey from the UK.
The staff when we checked-in were polite and efficient but sell us an upgrade they did - and although it was a nice room, it certainloy wasn't worth the cost of the upgrade, despite the stunning view over HK harbour.
The room entitled us to use of the Traders club on the top floor (below the roof-top swimming pool) but here again it was clear that the attention to detail was more geared towards constantly checking that we were meant to be there as well as an adherence to time-keeping at the expense of any genuine feeling of welcome and warmth.
Maybe it should just be treated as a business hotel at which it probably does an excellent job. For tourists, find somewhere more welcoming and friendly.
The room itself was spotlessly clean although it was infuriating not to have a powerpoint next to the bed so that a mobile phone could be charged during the night while still being accessible. It was also very annoying that there wasn't a proper door separating the bedroom from the minuscule shower and toilet facilities. Noise transference was a big issue, at least for us.
Overall, although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made sull use of the hotel's excellent complimentary minibus - we never felt totally welcome nor did we find anywhere to 'kick-back' and relax as there is no comfy bar in which to sit and have a quiet drink as the bar/snackbar are part of the cold, clinical reception which feels more like the entrance to a multi-storey car park.
I have stayed at Traders in Kuala Lumpur and found this to be a far more pleasant experience than the one in HK.

We stayed at Hotel Jen (Traders) for two nights. Our room was quiet as it was on a high floor and had an amazing view of the harbour. The room was small but had quite a large bed and was exceptionally clean with everything we needed (including complimentary bottled water), no bath but separate wc a v nice shower. Front desk staff were friendly and always willing to help. Even though the lobby appeared to be really busy we were never left waiting to be served. Located on Queens Road West its in a traditional and local area of Hong Kong which is interesting, and travelling to the buisiness district or the harbour is easy by catching the tram one street away on Des Voeux Road West. There was good choice for breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant on the top floor was also good but dont be in a hurry to go anywhere as service is a little slow. Overall a brilliant stay. Thanks Hotel Jen.
P.S....Not part of the hotel but if you are in Hong Kong for pleasure don't miss Lin Heung Tea House, 160 Wellington Street. Its confusing and messy but a very fun and memorable experience!

Room Tip: To ensure a peaceful night sleep get a room on a high floor, where harbour views are also amazing.

the room and its view was superb, overlooking the harbour. Decent size room and complete with amentities.

The Club lounge was simple and its happy hours and breakfast amenties were just right. The staff was great.

Room Tip: the room I had was just right in front of the elevator. Not too bad as the noise level was not loud.
