Wow, if you want to shop until you drop this is the spot for you. The hotel joins a large mall with hundreds of name brand stores, and is surrounded by high dollar shops of every type. If your budget can't handle those prices, a short cab or subway ride away are the Ladies Market, Men's Market, or Temple Street night market which sell a wide range of products from electronics to clothing and purses -- and if your bargaining skills are good you can get excellent prices. The hotel itself has nice views of the harbor, good breakfast buffet, and excellent service. Rooms are pretty typical hotel layout and bathrooms were a bit outdated but clean and spacious.

Marco Polo HK is a well located Kowloon side hotel with friendly staff, great breakfasts and a cracking view of the iconic skyscraper skyline of Hong Kong Island. The star ferry is virtually next door allowing easy access to the Island. With a steady flow of businessmen ( as well as families) this hotel boasts a decent gym packed with hi-tech equipment as well as a fantastically efficient wifi.

If i'm being reallly picky - Whilst everything inside is spic and span, the external architecture is a little uninspiring as is the pool area.

This is a solid 4 star hotel. Would recommend it.

Room Tip: Request a harbour view room. You'll get a stunning sight to wake upto each morning.

Marco Polo Hongkong is a very good and well maintained hotel. The booking and check-inn service was very reliable. But, most of all, it is located in the middle of the Harbour City mall and the shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui. The MTR stations are very near, that can can access you to all destinations in Hongkong. Book a room at their Continental Club floor and avail yourself to a free afternoon tea buffet. The breakfast buffet is very good with a wide assortment of food and drinks.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the bay area and experience occasional fireworks display.

I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions over the past few years and I have been consistently impressed by the high standards of the accommodation and the efficiency of the service. The staff do not have a high turnover and retain the ability to remember returning guests. It almost feels like coming home.

I spent a week here (4 days on business followed by 3 days with my wife and daughter).

From a business perspective, this hotel ticks all the boxes. Clean (and fairly large) rooms, slick and efficient service, good buffet breakfasts, fast WIFI and courteous staff and the location (literally a minute's walk from the Star Ferry terminal) is ideal for the CDB on Hong Kong Island.

It was equally good from a family perspective. The staff were very attentive with our 12 month old daughter and the hotel arranged a babysitter (on very short notice) with no hassle/fuss at all and it provided a good base for exploring Kowloon and the New Territories, albeit less convenient than the Conrad/Shang etc for exploring Hong Kong Island.

The hotel is reasonably priced by Hong Kong standards (albeit expensive when compared to pretty much anywhere else in the world).

Overall a very good and well managed hotel, albeit without the "wow" factor.

This hotel is without a doubt one of the best to stay in when in Hongkong. We as a family personally have a preference for the Tsim Sha Tsui area since we do plenty of dutyfree shopping when travelling. The check-in and check-out process in the hotel is relatively painless, there are plenty of elevators (I found in several other hotels in Hongkong that elevator service is surprisingly slow), the amenities are first-class, and the location is excellent. The hotel is immediately opposite the designer shops, and is connected to Harbour City (you dont even have to leave the building). Two blocks from the hotel is immediately the harbour where you can have a great glimpse of the skyline (especially at night). Perhaps the only downside to the location is that the train station is a bit farther, so if you need to take the train frequently I would recommend staying in its sister hotel, the Marco Polo Prince instead.

Again, all in all one of the best hotels in Hongkong.
