“We loved it!”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

We had a club level room and stayed here before a cruise. The club is well worth the money - good breakfast and helpful in all ways including quick check in and check out of hotel. We had a beautiful view of the harbor enjoying it especially at night. I don't understand the bad review. We have traveled world wide and loved it here. It was very clean and the employees were amazing. When we got ready for our cruise, it left our of the adjoining shopping mall and the hotel sent someone to our room to help us take the luggage over to the ship! Amazing place.

Room Tip: Book a club level room overlooking the harbor.

This place is like roadside diner. It's convenient but that is where it ends.

Over 20 minutes to check in, then to arrive in what can only be described as an incredibly smelly and poorly laid out excuse for a premium hotel room is an utter disappointment.

I stayed here with my now wife 5 years ago and vowed I would come
back, now I have that out of my system, I will never be back.

The Continental Club was well worth the extra dollars. Will definitely stay here again.
Staff were excellent and the location is perfect for exploring Kowloon and further.
The Club facilities were great, really good food and drinks. Great selection for breakfast.
You really don't need to eat out anywhere else as the Club lounge provides more than enough.

Room Tip: You could take the bus from the airport but $40 Aus for a couple in a taxi isn't expensive for a...

Beautiful hotel. So friendly and professional even at midnight. 18th floor with Continental Club was so worth it!!!!! Magnificent service and food at all times. So many choices and so delicious. Turn down of our bed was nice. Complimentary internet. Will stay here again.

Stayed here last year for seven days and was very pleased with the choice.
Hotel is in a great location for business and for the holiday maker, it is right next to the Ferry terminal for mainland China
I caught the shuttle bus from the airport and this worked well, you will need to understand that it does stop at other hotels on the way however, cabs are very easy to pick up as well and are cheap
Hotel rooms are comfortable and of a high standard but I have stayed in better recently.
They do give a slight wow factor when you first go in but they do need to stay ahead of the competition
I had breakfast at the hotel everyday and this was always very good with a varied menu
I had room service the night I arrived and this was acceptable but very standard
Hotel also felt very safe as this was my first time to HK and the staff are very good and always on hand, no issues here!
The Hotel is part of the harbour complex that joins to shopping mail that is mainly high end and mid range shopping, here the hotel is connected to a great department store called lane Crawford’s, I thought it was very much like John Lewis here in the UK and is excellent
All in all the hotel is very good and would stay here again
Well done Marco polo much better than the current rating of 42 when I submitted this review, top 10 hotel I feel in HK because of the location and standard

Just stayed at the Marco Polo for 9 nights and was not disappointed. Took the advice given on here and booked the Continental Club with Harbour View - it was well worth it. Situated on the 17 floor the view from our room over looking Victoria Harbour was outstanding. I booked everything via email and all was delivered as agreed, early quick check in after 12 Hour flight, with the room exactly as described. Large room for Hong Kong Hotel, best location on Kowloon, bar none. The staff in the Continental Club were excellent, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the chef even got to know what style of egg you enjoyed. The afternoon tea and cocktails are well worth taking in and the staff really show an interest in your day and offer advice and help. The Hotel is well situated for visiting both Kowloon and Hong Kong and is walking distance to the Star Ferry. I have stayed in numerous Hotels in Hong Kong over the years and this is by far the best, highly recommended. I cannot find fault.

Room Tip: Ask for a Harbour View and upgrade to the Continental Club floors if you can - well worth it

We loved stopping here. We only had one night as a stopover on the way back to London but the rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We had a harbour view and once it got dark and the lights came in it was a great view.

Through no fault of its own (as most of Hong Kong is like this) it's not very pushchair friendly. Everywhere you went in the hotel there was a disabled/pushchair lift but it didn't work and so staff just had to carry the pushchair up/down for you... the same in the shopping centre the hotel was attached to.... we just didn't get it as they all looked new?!

The buffet breakfast was amazing and if we didn't have to be out the door quickly for our flight we would have stayed there and stocked up for the day, it was all fresh and very well presented.
