We were coming home from a two week trip to China, and needed an airport hotel due to an early departure. We chose the Regal over the Marriott, and wish we had not. The Regal is a tired hotel, the staff doesn't try, our room was not incredibly clean. Check out was frustrating, huge lines of people, not enough staff, and we were charged twice for our room service from the night before, further delaying our departure. I will say that the covered walkway over to the airport was a plus, but in hindsight, I'd take the Marriott and it's quick free shuttle over.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for highlighting our covered walkway, which connects our hotel with the airport terminals.

It is with regret to learn that you found our facilities and services not to be up to standard and we apologize for the inconveniences caused.

You will be pleased to hear that we offer express check out service. For this purpose, we kindly encourage our guests to complete a billing authorization form prior to departure.

In order to change your current perception, we would be delighted to welcome you back to our hotel in the foreseeable future.

I usually avoid airport hotels like the plague, but the Regal at HK is very good. Clean spacious room, good dining facilities and a reasonable room rate.

can't beat the airport location for late arrivals and early departures. enclosed walkway and easy walk. a nice hotel but,, on my visit they were working on the flushing/water system. also did not restock the tea/coffee bar before my arrival. minor inconveniences but it knocks the rating down for me. still you cant beat the location. use the train ticket booths at the airport for transportation. i highly recommend the oyster card. put enough money on it for your transportation needs. 50hk dollar minimum balance (less than $10 usd) which is refunded for 9hk dollars ($1 usd).

I travel a lot and have stayed at numerous hotels all over the world, I have to rate the Regal Airport Hotel one of the best I have stayed in.

- It is right at the airport, ideal for you if you are passing through, if you are not, they have their own shuttle going into town daily.

- Rooms are big

- Service is excellent, esp. the concierges. Don't be afriad to ask them for anything. Their can do attitudes are what sets them apart from the other hotels I stayed in

- Godd restaurants, their Rouge restaurant serves great Cantonese food. The coffee shop and the other restaurants are not far behand

- One of the best gym. It is a good size, with a lot of machines. Really like the yoga room they have. Very, very few hotels I have stayed in have a yoga room.

- One of the best Club Lounges.

Location! The only reason we booked this hotel was for 1 night as we were meeting friends and immediately off the next day for mainland China departing from HKG so this was most convenient. Arrival at HKG around 18:00, over 14 hours cummulative travel time so we wanted a place close, no fuss, no hunting, no maps. Connected to the terminal and didn't even have to go outside into the heat and humidity.

Price! Ouch, yes, it was the priciest hotel of our month long trip but you are paying for convenience. Will admit the 1 night cost choked at booking time but by the time we arrived, we were ever so thankful we made this choice.

Food! Well, can't say we at there because the airport terminal was right next door and there were so many choices there. Dinner and breakfast at airport was tad pricier but it was good, adequate and being tired, you are not really in the mood to look long or far.

Convenient Location! Yes, will say it again. Worth the $$$ as due to a luggage plane transfer mishap, we went back to the airport to find the office for the airline after check-in and a quick nap to discuss how our luggage was going to catch up to us. Much easier to do this in person than over the phone - and we tried over the phone first.

Room! Nothing special. Nicely appointed as expected for Hong Kong. The bed was described as a queen but is really a double. It was fairly firm and hard and on a good day might not be the most comfortable but for exhausted travelers, was sufficient. Little noisy in hallway at times but nothing terrible, again we were pretty tired.

Recommend? Yes, if only for a single night between travel or business trip. Probably find much better places and value for longer stays elsewhere.

Stayed 2 nights at the Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong (1200 rooms). Excellent standard of accommodation, english speaking and very helpful staff. Direct rail, bus transportation to Hong Kong (20 minutes by train, 1 hour by bus). There are several good restaurants in the hotel complex, the rooms are quiet and very clean. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room location does not seem to be an issue as I had friends staying in a different wing to me and bo...

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the RAH for transit through HK with a long stopover enroute between Australia & Canada. The hotel is perfectly located an easy 2 minute walk from the immigration/arrivals hall area via an enclosed signed walkway - simply allow 1-1.5 hours to pass back through immigration/security and make your way to the gate (in actual fact this has only taken us 20 mins each time, but you should of course allow more time than that!). Day Use enables you to stay at the hotel for a 10 hour period between the hours of 9am-9pm. Unfortunately, you cannot book Day Use via their online booking engine, but I used the "contact us" link on their website and arranged everything easily via email. We opted for a Regal Club Room with Club privileges - on arrival at reception we were politely directed to the Club Lounge for check-in. The Club staff were excellent - polite, courteous and helpful. Check-in and check-out was efficient, and despite arriving at 7.30am our room was available immediately. I was disappointed that our room did not have a view of the runway as expected with a Club room, but then was delighted to see that we had actually been given a suite which had a separate living area and small private courtyard which was perfect for us travelling with our 2 children. The decor in the rooms is plain, but they are clean & comfortable, and whisper quiet with good blockout curtains if you are trying to catch some sleep before boarding your next flight. In our short stay, we managed to use the swimming pool, get a massage (lovely health spa and excellent masseuses), and have a buffet breakfast (good range, ok quality, but feels a bit like a cafeteria but not really an issue for a short stay - if you have Club Privileges you can have breakfast in the Club Lounge instead which is a nicer atmosphere but less range of food and children are not allowed). Overall, a great hotel for day use or a short stay where you do not want to travel into the HK CBD.

Room Tip: Day stay: If you are worried that you won't be able to sleep on your brief stopover, but would l...
