The Regal is conveniently connected to the airport. No transportation is needed to get there. Since I landed at 11pm from the US, the convenience was great. My room was clean and comfortable.
Fitness Center - I used the gum in the morning. The equipment was new, clean and an extensive array of equipment.
Wi-fi - my only complaint is that they charge for wifi. Any hotel accommodating travelers in a major city should provide wifi for free.

This airport hotel really is ideal if you only have a short time in Hong Kong. It is connected to the terminal through a short walk way - and so you can scoot into downtown HK by the airport express if you wish. The breakfast is one of the best I have seen - multiple choices of many cultures on offer.
The swimming pool is also nice - indoor and outdoor options with attentive attendant - dry and wet sauna as well.
Room - standard room - larger size - nice amenities.

Stayed for a conference at the Asia World Congress. An decent experience. Easy, although somewhat long walk after dis-embarking but love the fact it's connected to the airport.

Front Desk/Check-In: C. Must have arrived with other planes, the line for check-in was long. Making it worse was the check-in process was terribly long The front desk personnel were friendly enough and informative. The lobby was comfortable although the lobby bar appeared closed for renovation or other updating. Overall average…after a long flight would have preferred a faster check-in. Note that there are automated check-in kiosks on the right side as you enter the hotel. I should have used these. My fault.

Rooms: C+ Comfortable. With everything you need including in-room coffee. The stations on the TV didn't come in very well. That may have been my room only - not sure. The bathroom was very average. Overall a bit better than average. Comfy bed!

Gym: B Well equipped. I believe 4 treadmills one of which needed a bit of repair but good equipment, free weight area, separate room for stretching, yoga, pilates. Could have used a few more cardio machines but overall very good.

Location: B If you're looking to spend a night at the airport due to a stop over this hotel is the best - directly connected to the airport - you can't do better. Also, if you're here for meetings at the Asia World Congress it's the second best bet (Best is the Marriott which is connected to the Asia Congress). If you stay here you can walk - it's about 10-15 min but the walk is a bit convoluted and there's one spot where there's not much of a sidewalk..you skirt along a guard rail next to the road. Not too dicey but odd that there's not walkway. They do have a bus but just seems odd that you'd have to take a bus to get up the road …what, about a half mile… if that.

Dining: C Had it not been for the steak dinner I had at the China Coast Bar and Grill this would have been a D-. Breakfast is served in the Regal Cafe each morning. I'd say this is closer to a dorm room dining hall than a hotel. While they try to do a good job at providing food choices they fall short. You can get salmon and capers, but not cream cheese or bagels. You can get potato's but no scrambled eggs. You can get cheeses (limited), but no prosciutto or ham. The folks at the omlette bar didn't speak any English - at the Hong Kong airport - really? They have to coffee machines (no table service) so you have to wait in line for coffee…and when they break (as they did the first day) it's a problem. That said, dinner at the China Coast was quite nice. Good server, great smile, great steak. Was expensive though!

Overall if were traveling through Hong Kong I'd say here again. Checked most boxes on my list and I'll be prepared to be disappointed by the breakfast. ;-)

We had a 27 layover in Hong Kong, and decided to stay at the airport. This hotel is actually within the airport, so you can trolley your bags over. We upgraded to the Executive Club, and so were able to have :snack: dinner and drinks after we had arrived. The next day, we walked back to the airport and took the express train to downtown - there in 40 minutes. We were able to get a late check-out until 6pm. We got our bags stored with the Concierge, and were then able to return to the lounge where we waited in comfort with food and drink, until it was time to go to the airport. Definitely, the easiest layover we have ever had!

The Regal hotel is just next to the international airport, connected by a covered corridor and even if the prices aren't the cheapest it's probably the best choice for killing transit hours before the next flight. I had 14 hours of stop in Hong Kong this time, from 7 am to 9 pm, so I got a day room (from 9am to 9pm) for 130 euros, including free internet, free shuttle to the Citygate (outlets, restaurants and cable car there) and a gorgeous 1 hour body massage in the hotel's spa. Room very spacious and top service

I can't believe this hotel gets the rating it does. Chaotic check-in left me exhausted and wanting peace and quiet instead of my original plan to head in to the city. Only an adequate room, nothing spectacular. Just having spent a month in Vietnam at 3-4 star hotels, where fresh fruit was waiting for you in your room, no need for converters or adaptors, free wi-fi and exceptional service, this is a big disappointment and I can't believe this has any stars. Here, there's bare minimum of all amenities, no helpful service, instead-- the chaos at the check-in with a line of more than 10 people in front of me. And now, no place to charge my electronics before the long trip home and a fee for using wifi. Very disappointed, next time, head in to town. This is worse than any regular hotel like a Holiday Inn or Days Inn. It's only claim to fame is being attached to the airport.

I was stuck in the HK airport waiting for China Visa so I booked this hotel thru China Travel Agency. It is advertised as a five star hotel but I can only give it a three star, no way it is a five. The room setting is small and mediocre at best and the bed setting is about the Holiday Inn level in the United States. The A/C system is outdated, it’s cold air only and it is blowing so if you are too cold, your only choice is to turn it off, which will make the room stuffy. Restroom is not impressive either, again, about the Holiday Inn level. TV services is not very good, clearly not digital, and not HD ether. The door is very thin and sound insulation is terrible. You can hear everyone walking and talking in the hallway, even 10 rooms away. And they charge $HK120 for internet each day - $120! That’s highway robbery in the US standard!

They do have several restaurants and a bar at the lobby, but they are not busy. So I would assume their food is not that good, so I opted to walk to airport terminal for dinner. HK airport does have some good restaurants.

On the bright side, their front desk staff was very courteous and speaks perfect English. They will go out of their way to help. The concierge staff is not too bad either, but their English is not as good as front desk.

Still, overall, this is an old, airport hotel that smells old. So if you can, don’t stay here, take the Airport Express train (HK$100) and stay downtown HK, I should have done that.

Room Tip: ask for a room facing away from runway, and away from elevator, or you will not be able to sleep.
